I was just hoping that, eventually, someone could provide a patch for snd_uaudio to add support for this headset. Right now I'm unable to find any workaround for this issue, and I don't seem to be the only one having problems with uaudio and various headsets. Other results revolved around Linux but I don't see how that could be of any relevance considering that it worked on Linux and that FreeBSD and Linux drivers have nothing in common. Apologies for posting this on two mailing lists, It is just that I later realized freebsd-usb would be more appropriate and now I ended up confusing the replies from both. Perhaps it would be best to continue this only on freebsd-usb? The corresponding linuc v4l to FreeBSD v4l translation layer is not in 8.x. You have to run 9-current if you want to use it (or wait until 8.1 is released and 8-stable open for new features, merging the code in 8-stable is on my TODO list).
