Currently you need both. As a rule of thumb, Gnome2-era applications will be using gconf (some might keep using it for years to come,qq so gconf isn't going away), while most recent Gnome3-era applications already migrated, or are in the process of migration to dconf (note that even the base Gnome3 didn't yet fully moved to dconf as of Gnome 3.2) m. -- Michal Varga, Stonehenge (Gmail account) From owner-freebsd-gnome@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Nov 3 16:13:57 2011 Return-Path: Delivered-To: gnome@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CD040106566C; Thu, 3 Nov 2011 16:13:57 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from kwm@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::28]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A5BEC8FC17; Thu, 3 Nov 2011 16:13:57 +0000 (UTC) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.4/8.14.4) with ESMTP id pA3GDv2f076481; Thu, 3 Nov 2011 16:13:57 GMT (envelope-from kwm@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from kwm@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.4/8.14.4/Submit) id pA3GDvHm076477; Thu, 3 Nov 2011 16:13:57 GMT (envelope-from kwm) Date: Thu, 3 Nov 2011 16:13:57 GMT Message-Id: <201111031613.pA3GDvHm076477@freefall.freebsd.org> To: cvs-src@yandex.ru, kwm@FreeBSD.org, gnome@FreeBSD.org From: kwm@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: ports/160506: [update] deskutils/gnote: update to 0.7.5 X-BeenThere: freebsd-gnome@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: GNOME for FreeBSD -- porting and maintaining List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 03 Nov 2011 16:13:57 -0000 Synopsis: [update] deskutils/gnote: update to 0.7.5 State-Changed-From-To: open->closed State-Changed-By: kwm State-Changed-When: Thu Nov 3 16:13:43 UTC 2011 State-Changed-Why: Committed thanks! http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=160506 From owner-freebsd-gnome@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Nov 3 16:20:13 2011 Return-Path: Delivered-To: gnome@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4702C10656E1 for ; Thu, 3 Nov 2011 16:20:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::28]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0B9B98FC0C for ; Thu, 3 Nov 2011 16:20:13 +0000 (UTC) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.4/8.14.4) with ESMTP id pA3GKC0I077604 for ; Thu, 3 Nov 2011 16:20:12 GMT (envelope-from gnats@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.4/8.14.4/Submit) id pA3GKCKU077603; Thu, 3 Nov 2011 16:20:12 GMT (envelope-from gnats) Date: Thu, 3 Nov 2011 16:20:12 GMT Message-Id: <201111031620.pA3GKCKU077603@freefall.freebsd.org> To: gnome@FreeBSD.org From: dfilter@FreeBSD.ORG (dfilter service) Cc: Subject: Re: ports/160506: commit references a PR X-BeenThere: freebsd-gnome@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list Reply-To: dfilter service List-Id: GNOME for FreeBSD -- porting and maintaining List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 03 Nov 2011 16:20:13 -0000 The following reply was made to PR ports/160506; it has been noted by GNATS. (in plain 10-CURRENT of Nov 3 without UNAME_r) They run following order in my understanding: - gnomehack modifies Makefile.in in pre-patch stage. - WITH_FBSD10_FIX(run-autotools-fixup) modifies several autotools bits in pre-configure stage. - configure re-runs autotools (if available) due to stale Makefile.in's detected. (pointyhat might build them fine due to redundant autotools do not available at the time) - modifications by gnomehack have gone into limbo.
