The port moving has been on my TODO list for far too long. Please go ahead with it if you've got the bandwidth to do so. You probably want to apply http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=181124 to eclipse-devel first though. Sounds like getting 4.3 working is going to be a pretty major effort given the follow ups in the thread. I'd also like to see Eclipse working much better on FreeBSD. -- Greg Lewis Email : glewis@eyesbeyond.com Eyes Beyond Web : http://www.eyesbeyond.com Information Technology FreeBSD : glewis@FreeBSD.org From owner-freebsd-eclipse@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Aug 8 14:47:10 2013 Return-Path: Delivered-To: eclipse@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [8.8.178.115]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ADH-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9E8A17CB for ; Thu, 8 Aug 2013 14:47:10 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gnn@neville-neil.com) Received: from vps.hungerhost.com (vps.hungerhost.com [216.38.53.176]) (using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 714A52825 for ; Thu, 8 Aug 2013 14:47:10 +0000 (UTC) Received: from [209.249.190.124] (port=64867 helo=gnnmac.hudson-trading.com) by vps.hungerhost.com with esmtpsa (TLSv1:AES128-SHA:128) (Exim 4.80.1) (envelope-from ) id 1V7RUZ-0001Gj-4t; Thu, 08 Aug 2013 10:47:07 -0400 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Mime-Version: 1.0 (Mac OS X Mail 6.5 \(1508\)) Subject: Re: Upgrading java/eclipse and java/eclipse-devel From: George Neville-Neil In-Reply-To: <20130808042712.GA42505@misty.eyesbeyond.com> Date: Thu, 8 Aug 2013 10:47:08 -0400 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Message-Id: <42E25F8D-FF10-4E62-8B96-1A04AEF7B7BF@neville-neil.com> References: <0F5A2320-D5E0-4008-A065-E27959D54AA7@neville-neil.com> <20130808042712.GA42505@misty.eyesbeyond.com> To: Greg Lewis X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.1508) X-AntiAbuse: This header was added to track abuse, please include it with any abuse report X-AntiAbuse: Primary Hostname - vps.hungerhost.com X-AntiAbuse: Original Domain - freebsd.org X-AntiAbuse: Originator/Caller UID/GID - [47 12] / [47 12] X-AntiAbuse: Sender Address Domain - neville-neil.com X-Get-Message-Sender-Via: vps.hungerhost.com: authenticated_id: gnn@neville-neil.com Cc: eclipse@freebsd.org X-BeenThere: freebsd-eclipse@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.14 Precedence: list List-Id: "FreeBSD users of eclipse EDI, tools, rich client apps & ports." My plan = is to svn rm the old port and svn mv devel to eclipse. If there is another process = to follow please let me know. I'll update the devel port to point to 4.3 and to = be ignored, but then folks can start hacking on it. Best, George
