Unfortunately, while the device is detected and playback works, recording does not. (It always records silence.) The device is detected as shown below: ugen1.5: at usbus1 uaudio0: on usbus1 uaudio0: Play: 44100 Hz, 2 ch, 24-bit S-LE PCM format. uaudio0: Record: 44100 Hz, 2 ch, 16-bit S-LE PCM format. uaudio0: No midi sequencer. pcm6: on uaudio0 uhid0: on usbus1 (Curiously, this device does record correctly on my laptop with FreeBSD 7.2.) Is there a particular USB audio device which is known to work correctly both for playback and record on FreeBSD 9.x? Any recommendations would be appreciated. -Bill -- ============================================================================= -Bill Paul (510) 749-2329 | Senior Member of Technical Staff, wpaul@windriver.com | Master of Unix-Fu - Wind River Systems ============================================================================= "I put a dollar in a change machine. It took me a bit to figure out how to properly fix that kqueue stuff but I found an apr patch for their kqueue support that fixed a quite similar issue. http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/apr-commits/200603.mbox/%3C2006031= 5195953.18073.qmail@minotaur.apache.org%3E It resulted in that patch which also adds a few log messages in error cases= and seems to work fine after all! https://github.com/decke/tvheadend/commit/8a8c1a87125706b98a7e7ccd154108942= 380da83 So scanning with tvheadend works fine now and I could even watch some Live = TV :o) I will commit the update to tvheadend in a few minutes so once the cuse4bsd update is also committed it should be possible to properly use tvheadend on FreeBSD now!
