The next version of the port I maintain, net-p2p/bitcoin, will use boost_chrono. It's not a big issue - If we stay on 1.52 I'll have to add a reference to LIBS; if we move to 1.53, I won't. I'd just like to know what I'll have to do. So, what are the plans for boost 1.53? I haven't done any ports work in a long time though, so I don't know what's the best way to add new ports now. Do you think you could help me fix any obvious problems the new port may have and commit it? BTW, please note Linux distros also had similar problems, e.g., fix strigi: https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file?expand=1&file=add_missing_lib.diff&package=strigi&project=KDE%3ARelease%3A410 http://lists.pld-linux.org/mailman/pipermail/pld-cvs-commit/Week-of-Mon-20120806/344807.html or fix clucene: http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/dev-cpp/clucene/files/clucene-2.3.3.4-pkgconfig.patch?diff_format=f&view=log I am not really sure why this is really necessary for non-base compilers but okay for base ones. However, I just went ahead and committed it. It shouldn't hurt anyway. ;-) Jung-uk Kim -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.19 (FreeBSD) iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJRbbU2AAoJECXpabHZMqHOwd0IAL0EJfvDyFTq8dxbf2gKoqLV h2cs7QxR2Dy0AuvRhEKVCaC0KVunC/oMbfZtMih9xD1/xg3zGUfWVjBkoRK9oqjh xobPkRIr4gc8vCbBC3ITdgeN5e2xwp52fV1zD0Fo2q7vuxQ6thQmbKnDE0TGypZh PoNzAWFFlBMI2dvpn1p+Em22D7eHvko8Lttb43/dGH5ZVBsEfC05MsrgZ6XN/0Us 9x8+YJEeWloNe/qWHJy/aVQRxaMDkg7fccy8ylzZKcmDaibTE2O0q1+rFTa68Szn rIRXY/sSh/LAQWxP7NhzcvW1YotgRaz7xFT+s0dRQ86oKOMjzTywaK7nOnTqxiY= =m9/L -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- From owner-freebsd-office@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Apr 16 21:10:38 2013 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-office@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A5A9573F for ; Tue, 16 Apr 2013 21:10:38 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from kevinz5000@gmail.com) Received: from mail-qe0-f51.google.com (mail-qe0-f51.google.com [209.85.128.51]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6877C178C for ; Tue, 16 Apr 2013 21:10:38 +0000 (UTC) Received: by mail-qe0-f51.google.com with SMTP id 1so553996qec.10 for ; Tue, 16 Apr 2013 14:10:37 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=x-received:message-id:date:from:user-agent:mime-version:to:subject :references:in-reply-to:x-enigmail-version:content-type; bh=ncArX2J27ruLirIT76XPsvD3MUSq5RnCsO4XjTc3Ro8=; b=HISx+Mi0UAv2POkg40ryw0tyk3M4ReayfUg83UMymMMR1uLyx32GAmkOpJO6wzwbIs Es+SD/yEjObIU3TzmZM9Hg2r4ZNPA5rcyuKrxJXf1zXdFy96M35TnMgVuTqBPtnHr2fQ DYs/H7j1gYWIEhQK6ZWCN6hX+/lwj9zyN1bmjRQb73qvBUaLdB8qoxGWIkXtLmhDn38P Nae6a0qPY+3fsDEa1ww8rC1oPGsw8qhX/fvpX9NpD8Yo4y1szxbWFg1f0EUA8jwP5hGb yQBf8uj8MxpZS0kfDA5VBk4LVcuem1wNkiOy6ghJbjmXPlvZRezcHHch70WVxvWrm1jD CYkg== X-Received: by 10.49.29.42 with SMTP id g10mr4903287qeh.14.1366146637451; Tue, 16 Apr 2013 14:10:37 -0700 (PDT) Received: from sigma.local ([99.189.69.132]) by mx.google.com with ESMTPS id u3sm5635996qab.1.2013.04.16.14.10.35 (version=TLSv1 cipher=ECDHE-RSA-RC4-SHA bits=128/128); Tue, 16 Apr 2013 14:10:36 -0700 (PDT) Message-ID: <516DBE4B.7010201@gmail.com> Date: Tue, 16 Apr 2013 16:10:35 -0500 From: Kevin Zheng User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; FreeBSD i386; rv:17.0) Gecko/20130407 Thunderbird/17.0.5 MIME-Version: 1.0 To: freebsd-office@freebsd.org Subject: Re: New port [de-aspell]: adding German aspell dictionary References: <20130416195307.GA3516@saturn> In-Reply-To: <20130416195307.GA3516@saturn> X-Enigmail-Version: 1.5.1 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="------------090006070308090508050305" X-BeenThere: freebsd-office@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.14 Precedence: list List-Id: Office applications on FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 16 Apr 2013 21:10:38 -0000 This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------090006070308090508050305 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit On 04/16/2013 14:53, Giorgos Keramidas wrote: > Hi Office team, > > I just noticed that we don't have de-aspell in our ports, and since I'm > learning German now and it would be useful for me, I wrote a small port > that adds de-aspell to out ports tree too. > > I haven't done any ports work in a long time though, so I don't know > what's the best way to add new ports now. A while ago it was decided to trim the header down to two lines. This change is included in the attached patch. That said, I'm not an office porter, so I don't know how things are done around here. You won't need to set PORTREVISION because this is a new port, and depending on the distribution file PORTEPOCH may not be required either. And a suggestion from a user standpoint: I think improving the pkg-descr for all these ports can be helpful. I am glad to announce that Maho-san has updated the openoffice-devel port so we can now help test it and make suggestions before 4.0 Release. A note to -current users: porting to clang is WIP so AOO currently builds with gcc (4.2.1 is fine). You will likely have to tweak the Makefile to override clang for now, not sure if it's just a matter of uncommenting #WITH_GCC= yes Please enjoy! Pedro.
