Hi Li-Wen, Unfortunately the status report implies the change is further along than it really is. Here's a brief history, and where we are now: - The previous core team requested a rename from git.freebsd.org to git-beta.freebsd.org, as the service did not in practice meet expectations for a non-beta service. The svn to git conversion had to be restarted from the beginning a couple of times due to issues with the conversion script, which broke downstream clones. - The svn to git conversion tools are now stable. While it's possible some unforeseen event may require the conversion to be restarted, it is very unlikely. If it does prove necessary we'll provide as much notice as possible, and provide some guidelines or scripts to help with the process of migrating clones to the new tree. - Core@ received and approved a request for the service to migrate out of beta. The name still needs to be updated and we need documentation on the git mirror.
