It also works on a root UFS disk in a bhyve jail. But I'm not able to get it to go on a VM in a VMware enviroment... I've let it sit for about an hour, but nothing changed. Hard resetting recovers the system with no problems what so ever. Any suggestions to get this done without going to single-user would be more than appriciated. All OpenZFS developers are invited to participate. See http://www.open-zfs.org/wiki/OpenZFS_Developer_Summit for all of the details, including slides and videos from previous years' conferences. The goal of the event is to foster cross-community discussions of OpenZFS work and to make progress on some of the projects we have proposed. Registration will open in a few months, and there will be a $50 registration fee. Like last year, the first day will be set aside for presentations. *If you want to give a talk, submit a proposal via email to admin@open-zfs.org , including a 1-2 paragraph abstract.* I (Matt) will review all of the submissions and select talks that will be most interesting for the audience. The registration fee will be waived for speakers. The deadlines are as follows: Aug 31, 2015 All abstracts/proposals submitted to admin@open-zfs.org Sept 14, 2015 Proposal submitters notified Oct 12, 2015 Agenda finalized October 19-20, 2015 OpenZFS Developer Summit The second day of the event will be a hackathon, where you will have the opportunity to work with OpenZFS developers that you might not normally sit next to, with the goal of having something, no matter how insignificant, to demo at the end of the day. Please add your hackathon ideas to the summit wiki page. This event is only possible because of the efforts and contributions of the community of developers and companies that sponsor the event. Special thanks to our Beer Bash, Platinum, and Gold sponsors: ClusterHQ , Delphix , GitHub , iX Systems , High-Availability , and Nexenta Additional sponsorship opportunities are available. Please see the website for details and send email to admin@open-zfs.org if you have any questions. --matt From owner-freebsd-fs@FreeBSD.ORG Wed May 27 17:31:11 2015 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-fs@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher AECDH-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id F17494F4 for ; Wed, 27 May 2015 17:31:11 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from ryao@gentoo.org) Received: from smtp.gentoo.org (smtp.gentoo.org [140.211.166.183]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id D3B39929 for ; Wed, 27 May 2015 17:31:11 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from ryao@gentoo.org) Received: from [192.168.1.2] (pool-72-89-250-199.nycmny.fios.verizon.net [72.89.250.199]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 (128/128 bits)) (No client certificate requested) (Authenticated sender: ryao) by smtp.gentoo.org (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 6F0F1340D38; Wed, 27 May 2015 17:31:02 +0000 (UTC) Message-ID: <5565FF4B.2070001@gentoo.org> Date: Wed, 27 May 2015 13:30:51 -0400 From: Richard Yao User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/31.6.0 MIME-Version: 1.0 To: zfs@lists.illumos.org, developer CC: zfs-discuss , freebsd-fs Subject: Re: [zfs] OpenZFS Developer Summit 2015 - announcement & CFP References: In-Reply-To: Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="DDFVTlAsB80BqI7t36QVF5wmqQbijUpCQ" X-BeenThere: freebsd-fs@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.20 Precedence: list List-Id: Filesystems List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 27 May 2015 17:31:12 -0000 This is an OpenPGP/MIME signed message (RFC 4880 and 3156) --DDFVTlAsB80BqI7t36QVF5wmqQbijUpCQ Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On 05/27/2015 12:28 PM, Matthew Ahrens wrote: > The third annual OpenZFS Developer Summit will be held in San Francisco= , > October 19 - 20, 2015.
