In fact, this wasn't detected where libintl was not in the default link path. I have now added an NLS option for those who desire gettext() support and enabled it by default. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. The vesa driver doesn't work for me. I can find the lines in /var/log/Xorg.0.log: [ 370.050] (II) VESA(0): initializing int10 [ 370.052] (EE) VESA(0): V_BIOS address 0x0 out of range I guess that I use UEFI instead of BIOS, then some kind of infomation doesn't been passed to the kernel correctly. I use scfb driver now, however this driver is unable to use VGA output connector, so I want to use the driver which can enable me to use the VGA output. I read that Intel HD Graphics 5500 works on Dragonfly BSD recently. Is it possible to accelerate the development referring such source code? The same must be maintained, and OpenBSD. Porting to direct, as I understand it is unlikely, but in FreeBSD has already been done is not a small amount of work on the support of these technologies from the kernel. Unfortunately, it seems to fall, this one is not actively engaged, at least in public. If I select some text and then paste it into a window using the middle mouse button, the text is pasted into the window, but then I get repeating characters after the pasted text. The characters are almost always "=", but every once in a while, I'll get repeating "d" characters instead. Occasionally I'll get one of these extra characters before the pasted text. The characters get continually repeated indefinitely until I press a key on the keyboard. The repeat rate seems to be the same as the keyboard repeat rate, almost as if I was holding down the "=" key. I'm using a USB mouse via moused, which Xorg detects as /dev/sysmouse. I don't see this problem with pasting text in console mode, only in X. I also don't see the problem if I copy and paste using the right-click menu. The problem started a few weeks ago and I was hoping that a reboot would fix it, but I had to reboot the machine yesterday and the problem is still present. The machine is running a recent version of 8.4-STABLE and I last updated my installed ports yesterday, with no change in behaviour. I'm currently using the MATE desktop. Several people are rightfuly asking about Haswell support and I failed to communicate properly (as well as get back to people on the mailing-list in general). So here is a status update :) I had very little time to work on i915 since February. Fortunately, this will improve, starting from this month. I need to refresh the informations on the wiki and keep it up-to-date. The goal is to update i915 to match Linux 3.8. Yes, this version was released in early 2013, but the other components (the device-independent code and the Radeon driver) of the DRM subsystem are already in sync with 3.8. I hope once all components are on the same page, it will ease future maintenance. To do the port, I'm taking Linux 3.8 as the original code and DragonFlyBSD source code to see what Fran=C3=A7ois Tigeot did and take so= me pieces of code. Rui Paulo already contributed some code too, thank you! The work is published on GitHub: https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-base-graphics/tree/drm-i915-update-38 I don't need any testers right now, the driver does not compile anyway. If you want to help port the code however, you are more than welcome! In this case, please come to #freebsd-xorg on EFnet so we can coordinate the efforts. I hope to have something ready to test around September. Obviously, it won't make it into FreeBSD 10.2-RELEASE. However, it should be possible to make it available as a port, like what is done for FreeBSD 9.3-RELEASE today. I have been trying to discover why my X server occasionally bogs my computer down, and I have finally produced a test case that seems to reproduce the issue consistently using xfreerdp. I've posted a screen capture illustrating the issue here:=20 https://youtu.be/sFjHi20Hl60 I welcome advice that would help me hunt down / determine what specific routines are causing the issue. Should I start hacking on the xfreerdp source? More generally, would hunting this down be helpful to the communi= ty? Note that other selection boxes displayed in other programs (e.g. gimp) do not precipitate this behavior. I'm running the nvidia-304 binary driver Thanks, -Jeff --=20 -------------------------------------------------- Jeffrey Baitis - jeff@baitis.net - 626.921.60= 54 --70Q0o48cm4bPkWj9oRTM4kNPchTFg7mkV Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJVmGG/AAoJELYe/I1EoJ25WSIP/0PWvowLAeYs0VsBpwyHYBn4 ReUWGIkKP6Mz91E03+THLoF/adFWYoNkX6FhziQTcvvYR0+TTK68IwFq14/q2tkE uIFvCNJNE2pPq+FKama/TRNuLNpoh+N2MVuGzEaTtPFNyUYbpkj2kavB8m09TeuB UBG/jvDwK1HrLX+WWanaqyMry8wD4htH7RU3tBXvfHca61JS1ZWh+t42XmZhqvHx /FtJdfQbyAux5PgZuUBHNNKwRf9itLWm7kC+YEqufa0zhLB+CNPojV4KluuMJRh1 jxXeHNYqO0phcJRwI1RujbpscAUZ2zqhf8bZsH3GjtZ+qhpNwHexdCshVXHo/ESe LTs302G5/FgnQWxo+zj+A0BoZpo+3xO+8uE4+S+lmkIPtKZwzrErE+d+ZIAnF69A PAFoeTcihVON1QUiff7NUJDUN2iqCxXpwcJV/o3cmZsYEj3TFiCkuliXeEPv11VQ FDajb2l6PnEmuF8VSTfRff9AxnMIUgM0GctX33urAWFwJu/E9fpWYJzdvZTdKi8q bwcec6M93JD57jHXjgnT6LdGUc9XuowmgSkgLMKX7aOQe1+I6tvvTM6xMK8cWF+4 DHwIBv8fZ4bqV7dppf0JrU7LW1r5HXKe4rHwPvebrM1hE5objMCWQmmXJsit6s1E S28I/LPE2lYA4qlGv/XU =5489 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --70Q0o48cm4bPkWj9oRTM4kNPchTFg7mkV--
