A full reboot of the machine fixes it. When those messages appear, trying to resume the stream from the application issues a kernel panic while trying to unload the module results in a machine freeze. I'll take the crash dump, if it's necessary. With light usage, I can't get the issue. (I don't know if this relates to the performance issue I have with the modu= le. The speed seems capped to around 1/3 rather than the full 54mbps rate I got using the ndis wrapper. I'm opening a separate bug report for that.) Which information are needed? I think the newer vt(4) console (slated = to replace sc(4)) has a separate sysctl to enable/disable the suspend key. For syscons I think the only route you have to disable the suspend hotkey is to load a custom keymap that doesn't include it. :( (I think you would have to generate such a keymap yourself unfortunately.) Actually, even vt(4) doesn't have a separate knob for this key (it does have sysctls for other special keys like panic/reboot/poweroff). I think we sho= uld add a knob for this special key to both vt(4) (kern.vt.kbd_suspend) and sc(= 4) (hw.syscons.kbd_suspend). --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Mon Jan 11 18:40:42 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E0760A6C19E for ; I was trying to = use it on newest pfesense release, which is based on freebsd 10.1-RELEASE-p25. After installing pfsense, I could ping the system, but was not able to reach it's webpage, which I was able to do via other ethernet port. I was searchi= ng for solution and found this topic on pfsense forum: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=3D63159.0 Then I created a ticket on their bug tracker, but reply was "it's not our issue, contact freebsd support". That is what I am doing right now. If you need any additional information f= eel free to tell me, but keep in mind that I have never used FreeBSD before. However, spare and l2arc devices don't have pool guid= s, so opening them by guid will fail (opening by path, when the pathname is known, still succeeds). This change allows a vdev to be opened by guid if the label contains no pool_guid, which is the case for inactive spares and l2arc devices. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Tue Jan 12 05:24:05 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 54941A6DDE8 for ; All I do is is set ale0 interface as my lan interface. Everything works fine Then I do factory reset and configure ue0 as my lan interface. I am only ab= le to ping destination address, but can't reach any webpage. TLDR: ale0 set as lan Works ue0 set as lan doesn't work Same is if i set ale0 as wan interface. I can perfectly reach any destinati= on from router. But when I do it with ue0, nothing works. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Tue Jan 12 19:42:40 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4B96AA8008D for ; Tue, 12 Jan 2016 19:42:40 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 3C7961CF7 for ; Tue, 12 Jan 2016 19:42:40 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u0CJgeNW083596 for ; Tue, 12 Jan 2016 19:42:40 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 206143] DLINK DUB-E100 revision C1 can't reach destination Date: Tue, 12 Jan 2016 19:42:40 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: usb X-Bugzilla-Version: 10.1-RELEASE X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Many People X-Bugzilla-Who: hselasky@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailman-Approved-At: Tue, 12 Jan 2016 20:00:20 +0000 X-BeenThere: freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.20 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the AMD64 platform List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 12 Jan 2016 19:42:40 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D206143 --- Comment #15 from Hans Petter Selasky --- Hi, I suspect maybe pfsense doesn't recognize the ue0 properly and sets up some firewall rules which block the webpage access. I wont have a physical box available for 10.x tes= ting however. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Wed Jan 13 21:56:10 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C1083A81DDC for ; Wed, 13 Jan 2016 21:56:10 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id B25BB1CE0 for ; Wed, 13 Jan 2016 21:56:10 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u0DLuAZS099535 for ; Wed, 13 Jan 2016 21:56:10 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 205932] [panic] Kernel panic when copying from ext2fs partition to UFS partition Date: Wed, 13 Jan 2016 21:56:10 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: misc X-Bugzilla-Version: 10.2-RELEASE X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Many People X-Bugzilla-Who: tingox+freebsd@gmail.com X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailman-Approved-At: Wed, 13 Jan 2016 22:06:35 +0000 X-BeenThere: freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.20 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the AMD64 platform List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 13 Jan 2016 21:56:10 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D205932 --- Comment #16 from Torfinn Ingolfsen --- (In reply to Damjan Jovanovic from comment #14) Good question. But in very specific situation still uses cache omitting DIRECT FLAG. This situation appears only when we are creating file. We suspect that this problem is connected with function: fuse_vnode_open(vp, 0, td) in /usr/src/sys/fs/fuse/fuse_fnops.c file. The second parameter of this function is always set to 0 value and in some cases removing DIRECT flag set by other functions. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Thu Jan 14 15:04:31 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6DAE5A812DB for ; Thu, 14 Jan 2016 15:04:31 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 5CB71123E for ; Thu, 14 Jan 2016 15:04:31 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u0EF4U8n037526 for ; Thu, 14 Jan 2016 15:04:31 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 205743] null pointer dereference in PF running a vimage jail Date: Thu, 14 Jan 2016 15:04:30 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: kern X-Bugzilla-Version: 11.0-CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: vimage X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Many People X-Bugzilla-Who: bz@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-pf@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: keywords Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailman-Approved-At: Thu, 14 Jan 2016 16:03:21 +0000 X-BeenThere: freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.20 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the AMD64 platform List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 14 Jan 2016 15:04:31 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D205743 Bjoern A. I have had a somewhat-related crash going on for quite a while, and while i= t is difficult to reproduce I've had it happen both with earlier versions of the above patch and on a "clean" system. HOWEVER, the last version has now been running since early December -- with no panics. My blowups were all related to snapshot manipulation during backup operatio= ns, so this may be related. If so then the root is likely the result of a modu= lo extension that returns an unexpected delay product and causes trouble elsew= here in the code. The latest version of that patch prevents the extension from occurring. I can pull out just that couple of lines of code that appear to have been effective in stopping the blowups if you'd like to try something simpler and leave the rest of the ZFS code alone. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Fri Jan 15 17:25:56 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 08AF8A8356D for ; Fri, 15 Jan 2016 17:25:56 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id EE5F114AD for ; Fri, 15 Jan 2016 17:25:55 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u0FHPtx1024801 for ; Fri, 15 Jan 2016 17:25:55 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 205708] Kernel panic possibly happening while adding/removing/listing ZFS snapshot Date: Fri, 15 Jan 2016 17:25:55 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: kern X-Bugzilla-Version: 10.2-RELEASE X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: root_dfjo1hpy@meo.ws X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-fs@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailman-Approved-At: Fri, 15 Jan 2016 17:38:51 +0000 X-BeenThere: freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.20 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the AMD64 platform List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 15 Jan 2016 17:25:56 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D205708 --- Comment #7 from Fusl --- Hi, sorry for not updating this earlier. The second one fixes your problem, I think? (Assuming it was a create with FOPEN_DIRECT_IO in its reply.) The first is from PR#194293 and forces DIRECT_IO when a file is WRONLY opened. Please let me know if this fixes your problem. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.=
