Could I fix this, send patches, and take the > bounty? Does anyone mind me doing this? The related PR has been open for a long time now (almost a year): https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=204454 Just a moment ago another PR was filed regarding this issue: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=211202 There is one indirectly related PR, kickstarter.com crashes browser: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=207298 These official PRs for www/chromium are idle, with nobody working on them. Mostly my comments there, providing some amateur insights, but nothing useful to work on. The more "active" issue tracker for FreeBSD chromium is here: https://github.com/gliaskos/freebsd-chromium/issues And as you can see, there is very little activity in regards to these issues in any of these sources. So yes sir, please do fix the bug if you can. There seems to be nobody else working on this specific issue. I would recommend checking in at https://github.com/gliaskos/freebsd-chromium/issues/40 since this is where the bounty originated from. With the github page you can also get in touch with the official maintainers of the FreeBSD Chromium port. There's a lot of technical background related to this issue, and I think the official maintainers can elaborate on that a lot better than we casual users can. -- Arto Pekkanen From owner-freebsd-chromium@freebsd.org Tue Jul 19 18:35:46 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-chromium@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 371B5B9DE78 for ; Tue, 19 Jul 2016 18:35:46 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1FF7D1A6B for ; Tue, 19 Jul 2016 18:35:46 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 1BC36B9DE76; Tue, 19 Jul 2016 18:35:46 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: chromium@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1B684B9DE74 for ; Tue, 19 Jul 2016 18:35:46 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 0ACEB1A6A for ; Tue, 19 Jul 2016 18:35:46 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u6JIZjoc074820 for ; Tue, 19 Jul 2016 18:35:45 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: chromium@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 211202] www/chromium : repeated "Ah snap; Something went wrong" went browsing Date: Tue, 19 Jul 2016 18:35:46 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Ports & Packages X-Bugzilla-Component: Individual Port(s) X-Bugzilla-Version: Latest X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Some People X-Bugzilla-Who: aksyom@gmail.com X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: chromium@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: maintainer-feedback? When I tried to debug the problem I found out that SIGSEGV happened somewhe= re in libstdc++. Did not have enough knowledge and/or skills to debug it any further. Btw debugging www/chromium is problematic because the size of the debug bin= ary is over 4 Gigabytes. In order to debug, one must build the debug binary separately, run the original with gdb, and instruct gdb to fetch debug symb= ols from the debug binary. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-chromium@freebsd.org Tue Jul 19 21:19:13 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-chromium@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 67F31B9ED02 for ; Tue, 19 Jul 2016 21:19:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from ventas@gm-contadorespublicos.com) Received: from s3mt8p.consultorpc.com (s3mt8p.consultorpc.com [93.159.213.8]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id BB3A6144A for ; Tue, 19 Jul 2016 21:19:12 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from ventas@gm-contadorespublicos.com) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha1; c=relaxed/relaxed; s=dkim; d=gm-contadorespublicos.com; h=To:From:Reply-To:Date:Message-ID:List-Unsubscribe:Subject:MIME-Version:Content-Type:Content-Transfer-Encoding; i=ventas@gm-contadorespublicos.com; bh=rwiOaSe/5QAKO0vkMW+Rtl4w1Qg=; b=udA95psBrqOM8Wh8CTBtvHkjoo4IwdLgtrAwoeqQhUyO5lB1xSkq3bu3D0hab1ivMk8hE4VbILmm Vqfbo1LMuJeQscpV6IX5Nw6SzpHFXlTtwaRjp//5l10jAcT+1hfTtVkJPQ4nItSuRdrKebHoKrsb /19x/Rt2VoABAy76tBQ= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; q=dns; s=dkim; d=gm-contadorespublicos.com; b=f9gUjhTgzkL5y3Acah/dnODXWVGiY1Rdu3EfuMe1wnvYWd8P1t8YaxGSoVrUDk0SZDWLqXVoseIi qdpx/EFuq6iqKrjaHI+z7PqkyEDu3I2JxYe7vBtS4axV3tnSTbA4yxwhsdfrfOSMrBvI0/G2f4zY J052G1+WNu5c9bhyTtw=; Received: by s3mt8p.consultorpc.com id hhqcku16r3gj for ; Tue, 19 Jul 2016 22:06:12 +0200 (envelope-from ) To: From: "=?utf-8?Q?GM=20Contadores=20P=C3=BAblicos=2C=20SC?=" Reply-To: "=?utf-8?Q?GM=20Contadores=20P=C3=BAblicos=2C=20SC?=" Date: Tue, 19 Jul 2016 22:05:51 +0200 Message-ID: <54500304010c0b05085e57030d0450500357560756030e005505585306000750550205520a0b06025452590303@gm-contadorespublicos_ip-zone_com-6> X-CcmId: 020c18545c57445254091357454214070e0f560e416e5f111e49565f5369000e085a030f0b0f010805 Feedback-ID: 116325:116325-5:1:Mailrelay X-Report-Abuse: Please report abuse for this campaign here http://gm-contadorespublicos.mailrelay-iv.es/ccm/abuse?a=116325&m=5&s=7844 X-OriginalSender: ventas@gm-contadorespublicos.com Subject: =?utf-8?Q?Soluciones=20de=20grandes=20para=20PyMES=2C=20?= =?utf-8?Q?promoci=C3=B3n=20solo=20JULIO.?= MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.22 X-BeenThere: freebsd-chromium@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.22 Precedence: list List-Id: FreeBSD-specific Chromium issues List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 19 Jul 2016 21:19:13 -0000 =0ASoluciones de grandes para PyMES, promoci=C3=B3n solo ABRIL.
