I'm build-testing it right now and the patch looks fine, with those two changes: 1) EXTRACT_SUFX= .tar.bz2 should be replaced with USES= tar:bzip2 (portlint -AC said so 8-) 2) PORTREVISION is only incremented if PORTVERSION stays the same, if PORTVERSION is changed, PORTREVISION can be reset to empty. In general, submitting a patch can be done using https://bugs.freebsd.org/ which allows tracking the work being done on the port. I'll send an update if build-testing reveals other issues. -- pi@opsec.eu +49 171 3101372 4 years to go ! Building www/nginx on the same host via the "manual" way works flawless - I can fetch the tarball with no error. Also the build of texlive works, too. The logfile presents me with the following errors: www/nginx: ===> License BSD2CLAUSE accepted by the user ===> Found saved configuration for nginx-1.8.0_3,2 => nginx-1.8.0.tar.gz doesn't seem to exist in /portdistfiles/. => Attempting to fetch http://nginx.org/download/nginx-1.8.0.tar.gz nginx-1.8.0.tar.gz 0 B 0 Bps [...] => Attempting to fetch http://distcache.FreeBSD.org/ports-distfiles/nginx_udplog_module-1.0.0.tar.gz fetch: http://distcache.FreeBSD.org/ports-distfiles/nginx_udplog_module-1.0.0.tar.gz: Not Found => Couldn't fetch it - please try to retrieve this => port manually into /portdistfiles/ and try again. *** Error code 1 The fun part is: On my attempt to fetch the tarball via "make fetch" in www/nginx the first source for the tarball works. Since I build many other ports via the very same jail (in a rather vanilla setup taken from the handbook), i do not suspect any network problems or specialities concerning http/ftp proxy (do not use proxy either way). Mot confusing is print/tex-formats: [...] Extracting texlive-texmf-20150523_3: ...... pkg-static: archive_read_extract(): Lzma library error: No progress is possible so all depending ports fail to build. I see no problems on a non-jailed build. Is there a rsource limit set for the jail supposed to build the port running in RAM or diskspace shortage I do not see? Can you open a ticket at https://bugs.freebsd.org/ requesting the port be added, and attach the shar to it please? However, before you do that, could you take the CVS directories out of the .shar file? They aren't any use in the ports tree. Also, you;ve got the PORTREVISION set to 3, which is not correct for a brand new port. Apart from that, a very cursory inspection didn't turn up any other obvious problems -- doesn't mean there aren't any, just that I didn't see any in passing. Whoever processes the Bugzilla ticket will check things out far more thoroughly and may well ask you for further changes. As these functions are obsoleted now, this assumption is incorrect and some places we have thread-unsafely which leads to security problems (and/or for example double-free, etc) can i use mutex/spin/lock/unlock under where assumed a lock/unlock by using spltty()/splx() to patch it? Thanks, Mokhi.
