If it is than the run where debug_level is 0x583 should be showing some Mapping debug output, but I don't see any. Do you have mapping enabled in the controller? You can see the mapping flags in IOC Page 8 in the Flags field. Do you have a way to look at the controller pages? You'd need either lsiutil or maybe mpsutil will work (Scott Long wrote mpsutil and I don't know anything about it). If you don't have mapping enabled, you won't be guaranteed that the devices will be discovered in the same order over a controller reset or reboot. The exact value of quanta doesn't matter too much since the result of this bug is systematic (and we take it into account based on elapsed time). However, this makes the behavior more predictable. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-scsi@freebsd.org Fri Sep 1 01:04:06 2017 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-scsi@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CAF3FE0FE2C for ; Fri, 1 Sep 2017 01:04:06 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id B94486FCD6 for ; Fri, 1 Sep 2017 01:04:06 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id v81146t4097639 for ; Fri, 1 Sep 2017 01:04:06 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-scsi@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 221957] cam iosched: Add a handler for the quanta sysctl to enforce valid values Date: Fri, 01 Sep 2017 01:04:06 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: kern X-Bugzilla-Version: CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: patch X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Some People X-Bugzilla-Who: imp@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-scsi@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: mfc-stable11? Do you mean that the trim statistics currently work for nvme drives and the patch would break them, or that they are broken as well but the patch wouldn't fix them? I don't have access to nvme drives and only tested the patch with ada drive= s. While I also use iosched with da drives, they don't have trim support. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-scsi@freebsd.org Fri Sep 1 10:42:02 2017 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-scsi@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6D297E06146 for ; Fri, 1 Sep 2017 10:42:02 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 5B9E76C48F for ; Fri, 1 Sep 2017 10:42:02 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id v81Ag2MT025490 for ; Fri, 1 Sep 2017 10:42:02 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-scsi@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 221956] cam iosched: Schedule cam_iosched_ticker() quanta times per second Date: Fri, 01 Sep 2017 10:42:02 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: kern X-Bugzilla-Version: CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: patch X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Some People X-Bugzilla-Who: fk@fabiankeil.de X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-scsi@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: mfc-stable11?
