The problem with these dongles is that sometimes there’s a rev A and a rev B which use entirely different chipsets and hence are entirely different drivers. That is rarely observable from online shopping sites or even product packaging. I haven’t checked this particular case but if you can send me a usbconfig dump_device_desc for it I can go an have a look. /bz From owner-freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org Sat Oct 27 18:43:57 2018 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-wireless@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B5A8010CFE0A; Sat, 27 Oct 2018 18:43:57 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from tech-lists@zyxst.net) Received: from out3-smtp.messagingengine.com (out3-smtp.messagingengine.com [66.111.4.27]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 43ABC76931; Sat, 27 Oct 2018 18:43:57 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from tech-lists@zyxst.net) Received: from compute4.internal (compute4.nyi.internal [10.202.2.44]) by mailout.nyi.internal (Postfix) with ESMTP id BA9AB213B9; Sat, 27 Oct 2018 14:43:56 -0400 (EDT) Received: from mailfrontend1 ([10.202.2.162]) by compute4.internal (MEProxy); Sat, 27 Oct 2018 14:43:56 -0400 DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=zyxst.net; h= subject:to:cc:references:from:message-id:date:mime-version :in-reply-to:content-type:content-transfer-encoding; s=fm3; bh=N ISaaPRf2dMXH1aX7KcyO/DXsyiZxVuYNc8xbEnelxg=; b=xiaza/W+QdN4N2L+Q N6llkesQJJefyAQ80CxiNCDfkOihpIxeLjrJNg9dmXNORktoekLZI0yG4U197Q78 YeJ7lwVh537UaO4RBeynRHXgKRwwweh6n79muOdSAR2BQ4noH/UZHxcQF6mmo1jy SbJoFmvhGjndgzHJesgpLwcX0rSrtSQR/TMWDk07YR5wT53qcrGsbLHr9sFMGuS6 Bp6O0R42mMI5DbZWV5AMexqhzi4KtcqTWB2YlayQTr2AMCO4GEvKZVaRCpK6v6OZ St12JpzyOKREUaK6/qorpDtbl6hh4Z/x173rjgXPx4DdVLWNbVszy+4r+BDDvzFw EgPQQ== DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d= messagingengine.com; h=cc:content-transfer-encoding:content-type :date:from:in-reply-to:message-id:mime-version:references :subject:to:x-me-proxy:x-me-proxy:x-me-sender:x-me-sender :x-sasl-enc; s=fm1; bh=NISaaPRf2dMXH1aX7KcyO/DXsyiZxVuYNc8xbEnel xg=; b=zZfVcH8aJ5VpV6pepOdS5vZlRVQ9VbEeRhPGtnqARb7EjS4t46oWM+dI3 Nd6pjmtLdC7oHa0X+WS7gXTlk08+wdGZLcbe70/1nAWM0gxuwf+7VqPaNLEDI+aB J3m11RyU690Qgj2q6aRDoafFxyX+bqljFDbyjTS8F0rqqvvxS/GKsx4+ALAiJ/QL UAjxOHQlaURjmiHlm5OKlvqn7wsMIEDR+a7DBI8umt3heyDnQNTA2x7zW30RLMi1 Uc+/Pe1V3qhIv9fqxZ5SC4/zfN2bVPti/vP4O7zRH38OslFMdGcbpaDjn3jrHW5P FpJXh3zIJbqCyV2GmAuysrTnPEk/Q== X-ME-Sender: X-ME-Proxy: Received: from desktop.local (parsley.growveg.org [82.70.91.97]) by mail.messagingengine.com (Postfix) with ESMTPA id C1D29E43AC; Sat, 27 Oct 2018 14:43:55 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Re: TP-LINK TL-WN321G To: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org Cc: freebsd-stable@freebsd.org References: <3D95450B-21E6-4587-B246-2345CB301834@lists.zabbadoz.net> From: tech-lists Organization: none Message-ID: <26306759-d5ea-f6d4-7dee-9ade112f3c0a@zyxst.net> Date: Sat, 27 Oct 2018 19:43:54 +0100 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; FreeBSD amd64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/60.2.1 MIME-Version: 1.0 In-Reply-To: <3D95450B-21E6-4587-B246-2345CB301834@lists.zabbadoz.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed Content-Language: en-US Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-BeenThere: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.29 Precedence: list List-Id: "Discussions of 802.11 stack, tools device driver development."
