Right now as each list converts from former Mailman listserv instance to MLMMJ listserv instance, coverage of each respective list on bit0 becomes broken. MLMMJ archives don't necessarily have to be backmerge concatenated by hand into the Mailman files above, a new separate module hierarchy sourced from the new MLMMJ listserv instance of raw mboxes could be synchronized over to bit0 for distribution and download by users and mirrors. Perhaps under a new subdirectory of the existing module, or a new module name. Many ways to do it. These full raw archives docs in mbox form are a very useful resource for new users to sync and import all the history into their mail clients for reading the back conversations of the lists they like, enabling full text search using their favorite local mail client search tools for threads and strings of interest, etc. Users can even, in conjunction with paths configured in their mail client, sync the entire hier of all lists of interest, thus having the latest threads appear automagically in their mail client for reading without needing to tediously subscribe to and manage all the lists of interest or depend on mail delivery problems. The bit0 service is documented here among other places, and its use cases, example rsync command, etc could be further added to handbook etc... https://docs.freebsd.org/en/articles/hubs/ https://www.freebsd.org/internal/mirror/ https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/eresources/ https://docs.freebsd.org/en/articles/mailing-list-faq/ https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo https://lists.freebsd.org/index From nobody Tue Jun 1 22:54:16 2021 X-Original-To: freebsd-hubs@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 38952EADC97; These full raw archives docs in mbox form are a very useful resource for new users to sync and import all the history into their mail clients for reading the back conversations of the lists they like, enabling full text search using their favorite local mail client search tools for threads and strings of interest, debugging, etc. Users can even, in conjunction with paths configured in their mail client, sync the entire hier of all lists of interest, thus having say a monthly or weekly sync appear automagically in their mail client for casual reading without needing to tediously subscribe to and manage all the lists of interest or depend on mail delivery problems. Those of you who are command line, script oriented, and text tool based could also appreciate this form of mail / rsync flexibility. It's also a great base for people to import into new public facing mail search services, or if they are using testing or developing mail search engines that users could end up using, even being integrated into the freebsd website someday. Webside mail search engine development has been fairly limited accuracy and capability, lots of opportunity. And more instances of the text of archives being run and indexed by the big search engines will bring more search hits to FreeBSD over time :) From nobody Tue Jun 1 23:01:52 2021 X-Original-To: freebsd-hubs@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id DAE99EAE683 for ; Tue, 1 Jun 2021 23:01:55 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from grarpamp@gmail.com) Received: from mail-ej1-x636.google.com (mail-ej1-x636.google.com [IPv6:2a00:1450:4864:20::636]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 (128/128 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256 client-signature RSA-PSS (2048 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "smtp.gmail.com", Issuer "GTS CA 1O1" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4FvnjH1MxRz51gy; Tue, 1 Jun 2021 23:01:54 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from grarpamp@gmail.com) Received: by mail-ej1-x636.google.com with SMTP id a11so202949ejf.3; Tue, 01 Jun 2021 16:01:54 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20161025; h=mime-version:in-reply-to:references:from:date:message-id:subject:to :cc; bh=2zMxpGnWjhscKVo81t7sFFYJ/MWZ/S5PuMQv6FoO3GY=; b=tfEbb4uU0gKx53fr2Y45Pv8KSySvk7PL36ixdkbi2K+36jqc6k6F1x2Bz/Aig41jDG AYkOrKB9NE+sKOaBhfsNKgKfZUNMJcWQUyOKx5C2BiYkC/YhomDZZhwDOMPv3Y940Mma 4Qjzt2Pi7z62kGKLdY2HsxAZUK3TNtb5xOQ+au0lN2mYSfFZYNfOLULTpmDVrH20BAoz kFne59AbMFhfH8ayGL9jkGwzmmXyYNvHJk59oI6Nw/bgRr+mf/HJ53DjjPAUre++pHOW n3WrwulYYJQ8TxCefpvE6K5knMSdzxRls5qsRTMz/krDTYzOYC9pkiArkcLtswGPOIzt cX2g== X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20161025; h=x-gm-message-state:mime-version:in-reply-to:references:from:date :message-id:subject:to:cc; bh=2zMxpGnWjhscKVo81t7sFFYJ/MWZ/S5PuMQv6FoO3GY=; b=VmrQNSovItAGR8QQGhj2tiVIBpTX0sEmdClK973I+LHS6eFhNbEx0IxyiGJuOEaTGP 83v3lbw4KdKdHV/XjaqCKbvcJFvG5vHcBw+ZG/v9Ngo8LGd8WWCg9N+Od34WzU2KIO17 VlJV89fTaBAovWWNTI7SH7WlXJu8MnJBsinF1HBwV7gfKvLPx0tB8DTHWQUbNAoHNYUM FpUtWMcPFcjzbEjcYQ9yGHu4nCDk0ipc9NGFakOOcdyKswta+fyCST/Gx/3c2oekCjwm 6uwSKyHb/p1ADd/C+bDMF60ClGUYErGP2HhMzPO8V4FrOPSLvh5HIX6KXqCiB48PCa+f cECg== X-Gm-Message-State: AOAM533rYbUzYrsj5NJ8hN9agC/uDcW1F8r96+X+PPAtY/I4TknMAQZY oYEOjoe5DQRiqOJ0k/v0xpdy0eMneVc4HuON9curqUmiAWqrdB3c X-Google-Smtp-Source: ABdhPJwj5v4/bpj5dgTrazoDMHLjJvpLp9RbNDJ4S73IYLJfCIH86juJb85rz4bgyjJGY4J7M37thW+Ol8ib2uRczts= X-Received: by 2002:a17:906:56ca:: with SMTP id an10mr19127058ejc.328.1622588512749; Tue, 01 Jun 2021 16:01:52 -0700 (PDT) List-Id: FreeBSD Distributions Hubs: mail sup ftp List-Archive: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-hubs List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: Sender: owner-freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 2002:ab4:a201:0:0:0:0:0 with HTTP; Tue, 1 Jun 2021 16:01:52 -0700 (PDT) In-Reply-To: References: From: grarpamp Date: Tue, 1 Jun 2021 19:01:52 -0400 Message-ID: Subject: Re: MLMMJ Mail Archives to Update Coverage on bit0 rsync To: clusteradm@freebsd.org Cc: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" X-Rspamd-Queue-Id: 4FvnjH1MxRz51gy X-Spamd-Bar: --- Authentication-Results: mx1.freebsd.org; dkim=pass header.d=gmail.com header.s=20161025 header.b=tfEbb4uU; dmarc=pass (policy=none) header.from=gmail.com; spf=pass (mx1.freebsd.org: domain of grarpamp@gmail.com designates 2a00:1450:4864:20::636 as permitted sender) smtp.mailfrom=grarpamp@gmail.com X-Spamd-Result: default: False [-4.00 / 15.00]; RCVD_TLS_ALL(0.00)[]; ARC_NA(0.00)[]; R_DKIM_ALLOW(-0.20)[gmail.com:s=20161025]; NEURAL_HAM_MEDIUM(-1.00)[-1.000]; FROM_HAS_DN(0.00)[]; RBL_DBL_DONT_QUERY_IPS(0.00)[2a00:1450:4864:20::636:from]; FREEMAIL_FROM(0.00)[gmail.com]; TO_MATCH_ENVRCPT_ALL(0.00)[]; MIME_GOOD(-0.10)[text/plain]; TO_DN_NONE(0.00)[]; NEURAL_HAM_LONG(-1.00)[-1.000]; R_SPF_ALLOW(-0.20)[+ip6:2a00:1450:4000::/36]; SPAMHAUS_ZRD(0.00)[2a00:1450:4864:20::636:from:127.0.2.255]; DKIM_TRACE(0.00)[gmail.com:+]; RCPT_COUNT_TWO(0.00)[2]; RCVD_IN_DNSWL_NONE(0.00)[2a00:1450:4864:20::636:from]; NEURAL_HAM_SHORT(-1.00)[-1.000]; DMARC_POLICY_ALLOW(-0.50)[gmail.com,none]; FROM_EQ_ENVFROM(0.00)[]; MIME_TRACE(0.00)[0:+]; FREEMAIL_ENVFROM(0.00)[gmail.com]; ASN(0.00)[asn:15169, ipnet:2a00:1450::/32, country:US]; RCVD_COUNT_TWO(0.00)[2]; MAILMAN_DEST(0.00)[freebsd-hubs]; DWL_DNSWL_NONE(0.00)[gmail.com:dkim] X-ThisMailContainsUnwantedMimeParts: N " Hi, this is the Mlmmj program managing the mailing list. That could also help threads keep reference threading headers as lists come in and out of conversations, instead of breaking threads, originating new threads, etc. Various mailman lists out there do seem to have that capability enabled for that purpose, perhaps it is a config option or could be added to MLMMJ. questions@: > find 200 back issues From nobody Tue Jun 1 23:24:39 2021 X-Original-To: freebsd-hubs@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1E6F4EAF401 for ; Tue, 1 Jun 2021 23:24:42 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from grarpamp@gmail.com) Received: from mail-ed1-x532.google.com (mail-ed1-x532.google.com [IPv6:2a00:1450:4864:20::532]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 (128/128 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256 client-signature RSA-PSS (2048 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "smtp.gmail.com", Issuer "GTS CA 1O1" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4FvpCY37pJz52Hg; Tue, 1 Jun 2021 23:24:41 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from grarpamp@gmail.com) Received: by mail-ed1-x532.google.com with SMTP id s6so573726edu.10; Tue, 01 Jun 2021 16:24:41 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20161025; h=mime-version:from:date:message-id:subject:to:cc; bh=i46ehJvVkwowO8GssiOGdN3Ah50AZwX74Md3JFAwMHs=; b=j2UEy3zRzFvEN4bqC/qOmqP8zdKJarl5FkBUGfxplGyZ9JZnRYlI3zGKAbCCBEsM1Q DALgC4eEnYJ1fvy30/nrqSMrcDDAKpUfYP2es9M3OdK0eUMKFYJBamGwZsdW0FySSYfe 8U5xP3BAzoWyBJhwZMQcHh5Uc+ha6qoX3DhnFKDIx1sa5IA53Y1DhtVdPiB89rISkgeH DXtQNQwqVNqqrkFcyxU1shj3Sm5p8h/bW5qOinW6z0rYBGiZhKGR2/8y82Yv0YaHQNZ+ qKpGZxjsYGfrNEvqjruNsNsTdMETnwnUgR9Evhr1kYLzJTa/mlEgkNnQ0inXMQKF1jJD 0pZw== X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20161025; h=x-gm-message-state:mime-version:from:date:message-id:subject:to:cc; bh=i46ehJvVkwowO8GssiOGdN3Ah50AZwX74Md3JFAwMHs=; b=afPs60ms1c33wjfCdcnuhhCxF3j+LyoCbIZQ/nB/96IIX14Zd7Kl1xnHNFDuuwc8iS OxGKt+nfAuBs143x7F+d6So7R4KnASKp0UsY2ozVPnivJYmtOwVR2tvasZIwCBSF9QDN yC68hvpL0xYu52CrcmJ/izPl/n3e5RQjI12tzKmgmUR9duwnQxkzfP0EeHaAd4W2PnVT Z+XFMBdJM5IzvHa9ABZ6UAiuYOXYBit8dOFrhT1SpZzTsf5XdpaQUpXs79c+YxmI2T6f 9CRDCp+hNMJAOliQT8AhgaXcR/Nv/A7yFCcLGvttMZNsr1obmKw8wEk1vr/nkjuXMF2L q1ow== X-Gm-Message-State: AOAM530Cr/P4GnY261GtvruQP0OvbD9OhFyWYftRRgPs3zjV5lhlhNn9 iZ5IcRpKmh0icVdv9G1JcSm+flvSFKE1eA4YC6uYtLuZnWy/3wJ4 X-Google-Smtp-Source: ABdhPJyEI5I0czuKc/cKmQywix5xUv2zF1ri+xyWBO2KntMsT69PxHQVuji62p8TvRbVERDbqxQrmfElAvWrD/g+PgY= X-Received: by 2002:a50:eb08:: with SMTP id y8mr35630284edp.89.1622589879850; Tue, 01 Jun 2021 16:24:39 -0700 (PDT) List-Id: FreeBSD Distributions Hubs: mail sup ftp List-Archive: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-hubs List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: Sender: owner-freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 2002:ab4:a201:0:0:0:0:0 with HTTP; Tue, 1 Jun 2021 16:24:39 -0700 (PDT) From: grarpamp Date: Tue, 1 Jun 2021 19:24:39 -0400 Message-ID: Subject: user bouncing this list: gatech.edu To: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org Cc: postmaster@freebsd.org, clusteradm@freebsd.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" X-Rspamd-Queue-Id: 4FvpCY37pJz52Hg X-Spamd-Bar: --- Authentication-Results: mx1.freebsd.org; dkim=pass header.d=gmail.com header.s=20161025 header.b=j2UEy3zR; dmarc=pass (policy=none) header.from=gmail.com; spf=pass (mx1.freebsd.org: domain of grarpamp@gmail.com designates 2a00:1450:4864:20::532 as permitted sender) smtp.mailfrom=grarpamp@gmail.com X-Spamd-Result: default: False [-4.00 / 15.00]; RCVD_TLS_ALL(0.00)[]; ARC_NA(0.00)[]; R_DKIM_ALLOW(-0.20)[gmail.com:s=20161025]; NEURAL_HAM_MEDIUM(-1.00)[-1.000]; FROM_HAS_DN(0.00)[]; RCPT_COUNT_THREE(0.00)[3]; FREEMAIL_FROM(0.00)[gmail.com]; TO_MATCH_ENVRCPT_ALL(0.00)[]; MIME_GOOD(-0.10)[text/plain]; TO_DN_NONE(0.00)[]; RBL_DBL_DONT_QUERY_IPS(0.00)[2a00:1450:4864:20::532:from]; R_SPF_ALLOW(-0.20)[+ip6:2a00:1450:4000::/36]; SPAMHAUS_ZRD(0.00)[2a00:1450:4864:20::532:from:127.0.2.255]; DKIM_TRACE(0.00)[gmail.com:+]; DMARC_POLICY_ALLOW(-0.50)[gmail.com,none]; RCVD_IN_DNSWL_NONE(0.00)[2a00:1450:4864:20::532:from]; NEURAL_HAM_SHORT(-1.00)[-0.996]; NEURAL_HAM_LONG(-1.00)[-1.000]; FROM_EQ_ENVFROM(0.00)[]; MIME_TRACE(0.00)[0:+]; FREEMAIL_ENVFROM(0.00)[gmail.com]; ASN(0.00)[asn:15169, ipnet:2a00:1450::/32, country:US]; RCVD_COUNT_TWO(0.00)[2]; MAILMAN_DEST(0.00)[freebsd-hubs]; DWL_DNSWL_NONE(0.00)[gmail.com:dkim] X-ThisMailContainsUnwantedMimeParts: N Some recipient address on hubs (or clusteradm) is ending up at a gatech.edu helpdesk automaton instead of the MTA or user bouncing them as 404, AFK, etc. No body or header indicates which address is at fault.
