The one I have is a Future Domain TMC 850 controller using a TMC 950 chip. It is a cheap nasty thing and was I believe a free give away with some CD ROM drive or other. It is recognised during booting correctly, after which there is a pause for the scsi devices to settle. With a tape drive plugged in, the tape is then probed, recognised, installed as st0 and all works fine. With a disk however, after the pause, the disk light goes on and everything hangs with no further messages. This happens whatever disk I use. I have tried an assortment of Seagate, Micropolis and DEC. Will these controllers work with disk drives, am I possibly doing something wrong, or is this a bug/feature? I've did some fixes which seem to work, but they've yet to appear in a SNAP. Jordan Hubbard was supposed to be releasing a new SNAp with these fixes shortly. > Hi, > I have installed 2.0.5R on a 386DX40 and was trying to install a SCSI > controller.
