I have the -CVS tree which I got from a local mirror site and which I'm maintaining by applying CTM deltas. I've been doing this for almost a month now without any problems. I recently tried applying cvs-cur.2098.gz and ctm barfed on a missing file (Makefile,v) in ports/archivers. I notice that this directory is completely empty in my tree, as is the corresponding directory under FreeBSD-CVS on wcarchive. I've since confirmed that at least one other person has a similar empty directory, so it's not just me. Since ports/archivers under -current on wcarchive is indeed populated, I presume there _should_ be files in the -CVS tree. I'm hoping someone on this list may know what is going on and perhaps may be able to rectify the problem. I don't particularly want to bother Jordan. All I really need is a pointer to a -CVS tree somewhere that does have the missing stuff and I'm sure I can get myself back in sync by a little bit of `hand massaging'. I've done that sort of thing before :->. Any assistance will be appreciated. I'm sure there must be others in this predicament so I'm wondering why there aren't other noises about this. I hope I'm not overlooking something obvious :-<. Try building it locally from something like 47140400 Dec 29 20:09 cvs-cur.1500A.gz which is what I did, I'm now at cvs-cur 2108 & my cvs/ports/archivers is OK (full) > and which I'm > maintaining by applying CTM deltas. Hard to believe the last bit, as the ctm's are gen'd on freefall, far as I know. Maybe your memory is scrambled & you looked on a duff mirror ? Good luck. Julian -- Julian H. With respect, that is *not* my problem. The local mirror mirrors wcarchive. The FreeBSD-CVS/ports/archivers directory on *both* wcarchive and the local mirror *were* empty just before I sent the mail. I *did* check as did Satoshi Asami when I sent him a note, thinking he might know something about it as I had just seen him commit something to that directory in -current. > Try building it locally from something like > 47140400 Dec 29 20:09 cvs-cur.1500A.gz > which is what I did, Yes, I fully understand how to use CTM deltas. The latest starting delta is 51406914 Jun 10 15:11 cvs-cur.2100A.gz. I'm just trying to avoid downloading a 50meg file if I can avoid it. I'm also trying to be a good net.citizen and report what appears to be a problem with the -CVS repository on wcarchive. > Hard to believe the last bit, as the ctm's are gen'd on freefall, > far as I know. Maybe your memory is scrambled & you looked on a duff mirror ? I've just checked again 5 mins ago and FreeBSD-CVS/ports/archivers is still empty. I'm copying this again to -hubs in the hope that someone may be able to look at this. In the meantime, if you would be prepared to make a gzipped tarfile of your archivers directory and put it somewhere I could grab, I would really appreciate it. I have no problem hand applying parts of deltas so I believe I could get back in sync without having to grab the lot again. > Good luck.
