Please see http://www.freebsd.org/~xcontest and find out! :-) Even though it's all being done in a fairly light-hearted fashion, this *is* a real contest with real prizes, so please give the URL a look and, if you think you've got what it takes, by all means submit something! You also don't necessarily have to be a programmer or Unix rocket-jockey to submit a winning entry for this contest, you mostly just need to have some strong opinions about what's desirable in a FreeBSD X desktop and know how to configure some window manager (among other tools) to express those opinions. Chances are good that you've done much of this work already just in setting up your own work environment and must merely now package it up in some nice looking paper for it to be competition material.
