I am aware of that.  This implies that Oracle for Linux should emulate
well on FreeBSD.  A native FreeBSD version would be nice, but either way
Open Source wins.  We'll see.

You can be sure, they've heard it from me and my CSI number.

I see a real opportunity in the Oracle Web Server market.  Oracle
Applications customers who migrate to Applications v11 will need to
build a middle tier to support the network clients.  FreeBSD and/or
Linux were made for this.  Because of the number of middle tier hosts
necessary to support the clients, the license cost of commercial OS's
will seem prohibitive.  I'm sure only a minority of companies will have
the courage to consider an Open Source OS in this role, but enough will
to be very lucrative.
