I forget what you are buying for, I was going to say that if I was buying now I would go for a Ali 5 board, but I think I wouldn't bother. I tend to change MB+CPU every couple of years, disk and other toys are more interesting than CPU/RAM. The only reason I wanted more RAM was Netscape.
