The port is fine, but this version of rxvt also fails on my system, it seems. You say you're running the January 10th kernel of 2.2.5 - is it possible for you to update to this month's 2.2.5-stable and try this again? There's already one PR in the database reporting this and I can confirm that it happens on my 2.2.5-stable system as well: see http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=5937 It would be useful to know if you can also reproduce the problem.
