If I remember right a MEDIUM error is more severe ...

Perhaps look in single user mode, if the drive is allowed to
heal soft errors itself:

scsi -f /dev/rsd0c -m 1 -e -P 3
AWRE (Auto Write Reallocation Enbld):  1
ARRE (Auto Read Reallocation Enbld):  1

Just as one quick shot to check the settings ...
If I were you I'd perform immediately a level 0 dump.
