I have to admit to being completely mystified as to what you are trying to accomplish here. However, in general you should avoid the use of CNAME's altogether. That's one of those tools that always seems that it will make life easier but in practice (with certain exceptions) rarely actually does. Also, you can never point the right hand side of a MX or NS record at a CNAME. It must always point to a hostname that resolves directly to an A record.
