I think the Interbase company is considering porting it. They took a survey about a FreeBSD port not too long ago, but I am not sure what ever came of it. You should contact them and encourage them! *g* Joel To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-database" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-database Thu Aug 10 9:11:44 2000 Delivered-To: freebsd-database@freebsd.org Received: from misery.sdf.com (misery.sdf.com [204.244.213.49]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id F1DB937B655 for ; Thu, 10 Aug 2000 09:11:39 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from tom@sdf.com) Received: from tom (helo=localhost) by misery.sdf.com with local-esmtp (Exim 2.12 #1) id 13Mub0-0000cT-00; Thu, 10 Aug 2000 08:50:14 -0700 Date: Thu, 10 Aug 2000 08:50:10 -0700 (PDT) From: Tom Samplonius To: Joel Clark Cc: freebsd-database@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: InterBase 6 for FreeBSD In-Reply-To: <001101c002d5$a13b94e0$0a00000a@jvclark.net> Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-database@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG On Thu, 10 Aug 2000, Joel Clark wrote: > > Howdy, > > > > Just wondering if anyone was working on porting this to FreeBSD now that > the > > source has been released. > > I think the Interbase company is considering porting it. InterBase has been open-sourced, and the Interbase company doesn't seem to be working on it anymore. Anybody can download the code and try building it if they want. You would probably want to try the ib-build mailing list to talk to others who are doing the same thing. > Joel Tom To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-database" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-database Thu Aug 10 22:52:22 2000 Delivered-To: freebsd-database@freebsd.org Received: from sanson.reyes.somos.net (freyes.static.inch.com [216.223.199.224]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CE90737BA03 for ; Thu, 10 Aug 2000 22:52:19 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from fran@reyes.somos.net) Received: from tomasa (tomasa.reyes.somos.net [10.0.0.11]) by sanson.reyes.somos.net (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id BAA10629 for ; Fri, 11 Aug 2000 01:43:52 -0400 (EDT) (envelope-from fran@reyes.somos.net) Message-Id: <200008110543.BAA10629@sanson.reyes.somos.net> From: "Francisco Reyes" To: "freebsd-database@FreeBSD.ORG" Date: Fri, 11 Aug 2000 01:53:26 -0400 Reply-To: "Francisco Reyes" X-Mailer: PMMail 2000 Professional (2.10.2010) For Windows 98 (4.10.2222) In-Reply-To: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Subject: maxSQL (MySQL with transactions) announced Sender: owner-freebsd-database@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Over at mysql.com they have an announcement about a "mysql distribution" which will have transactions. A alpha version of MySQL with transactions has been out for about 2 months now. BTW, it supports master/slave replication too. > francisco > Moderator of the Corporate BSD list > http://www.egroups.com/group/BSD_Corporate > Tom To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-database" in the body of the message
