I am a student at Drexel University, http://www.drexel.edu, and looking for a co-op job from this April to September about 6 month around Philadelphia, PA. I'm looking for a job relating to System and/or Network administration or software development on FreeBSD or some other commercial UNIX systems in C/C++ or Java. I have good experience of System and Network administration, currently administrating a private LAN with FreeBSD as the main server among about 10 computers. Also, I have good experience in C++. I taught C++ in University classes as a Teaching Assistant. I also learn/use some other programming languages. If you are interested, please, e-mail to me. I will be happy to send my resume upon request. We're long time users of FreeBSD both internally and on some client projects and we're looking to grow the systems team quite strongly at all levels (trainee to senior). The other main OS in use for client is Solaris. We are looking for people already based in the UK - ideally for full time positions but we're also very open to freelancers and in the short run some contract input. Would be very keen to hear from anyone interested in getting more details on the positions and the kind of company we are / environment we provide (as a young company of very much like minded techies we feel that's a strong part of what we do). Given we're keen on any excuse to have a systems night out to grab food and natter about things generally that's likely to be the aim over the next one to two weeks for any people interested.
