Back from holydays I tried to install FreeBSD on the alpha (AS2100 5/300). As I said before, I was able to boot. But with your disks the system is not recognizing my CD drive :( . Unfortunately the ftp installation is also not working :(( . The CD is connected to the NCR SCSI adapter. I also connected a HDD to the controller because of the problems with the Mylex controller (it is PCI). My whish for Christmas would be a set of boot floppies which support my DAC960, my NCR SCSI controller and with SCSI CD support. Is this possible? I'm willing to send out some fine German Christmas beer (strong, but good :). With best hopes, Thomas -----Urspr=FCngliche Nachricht----- Von: Andrew Gallatin [mailto:gallatin@cs.duke.edu]=20 Gesendet: Dienstag, 20. You could install from a Mylex iff its a PCI Mylex, and its recognized by the SRM. And if you have Mylex support in the boot floppy, which you don't because I was trying to make the floppy as small as possible. Now that I've got the AS2100s working better, we should probably build a -stable snapshot to make things easier for people like you.
