However, I still think that the rest of the BSD community and much of the Open Source community may still have questions that weren't addressed in those Q&A sessions, nor in the "mass media" press releases. Wind River executives have agreed to Q&A session with Daemon News and we are soliciting your questions. If you have concerns or questions for Wind River please post them as a comment to the URL listed below and the best ones will be used in the interview. http://daily.daemonnews.org/view_story.php3?story_id=1938 Chris Coleman Editor in Chief Daemon News E-Zine http://www.daemonnews.org Print Magazine http://magazine.daemonnews.org Open Packages http://www.openpackages.org This is the moderated mailing list freebsd-announce. The new machine is a full and complete official mirror site for ftp-master.freebsd.org. Note that this also represents a shift away from our previous model of having only one master FTP server for both mirrors and end-users to use. We now maintain ftp-master.freebsd.org as the "definitive repository" for all things FreeBSD and make it accessible only to tier-one mirror sites. The new ftp.freebsd.org is one such mirror, albeit a very well-connected and maintained one, which will serve both the tier-two mirrors and end-users. It is located in Denmark and has good connectivity both with Europe and to the United States. In time, we hope to add more tier-one sites and migrate to a far more fault-tolerant model than we had before. Your patience during this services transition has been greatly appreciated. - Jordan About TDC Internet: TDC Internet is the Internet division of TDC, the former national PTT of Denmark (previously known as Tele Danmark), partially owned by SBC of Texas.
