I don't know if there was ever a decision made, but I seem to remember that all ftp*.freebsd.org servers would be 'Tier 1' servers and would carry all of the ftp archives which would make them suitable to be listed in sysinstall. I've put this forth for a group decision since we need to act fast and either commit this or not commit it before 4.4 becomes a release. Patch is attached. -val --0-2045892622-999608125=:11811 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII; name="sysinstall-menus.diff" Content-Transfer-Encoding: BASE64 Content-ID: <20010904055525.A11811@Blitzkrieg.Blackened.com> Content-Description: Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="sysinstall-menus.diff" SW5kZXg6IG1lbnVzLmMNCj09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09 PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT09PT0NClJDUyBm aWxlOiAvaG9tZS9uY3ZzL3NyYy9yZWxlYXNlL3N5c2luc3RhbGwvQXR0aWMv bWVudXMuYyx2DQpyZXRyaWV2aW5nIHJldmlzaW9uIDEuMjUyLjIuNDUNCmRp ZmYgLXUgLXIxLjI1Mi4yLjQ1IG1lbnVzLmMNCi0tLSBtZW51cy5jCTIwMDEv MDgvMTQgMjI6MDE6MTQJMS4yNTIuMi40NQ0KKysrIG1lbnVzLmMJMjAwMS8w OC8yMiAyMDozNDoyMg0KQEAgLTY1Miw2ICs2NTIsMTQgQEANCiAJVkFSX0ZU UF9QQVRIICI9ZnRwOi8vZnRwNS5mcmVlYnNkLm9yZyIgfSwNCiAgICAgICB7 ICIgVVNBICM2IiwJImZ0cDYuZnJlZWJzZC5vcmciLCBOVUxMLCBkbWVudVNl dFZhcmlhYmxlLCBOVUxMLA0KIAlWQVJfRlRQX1BBVEggIj1mdHA6Ly9mdHA2 LmZyZWVic2Qub3JnIiB9LA0KKyAgICAgIHsgIiBVU0EgIzciLCAgICAgICJm dHA3LmZyZWVic2Qub3JnIiwgTlVMTCwgZG1lbnVTZXRWYXJpYWJsZSwgTlVM TCwNCisgICAgICAgIFZBUl9GVFBfUEFUSCAiPWZ0cDovL2Z0cDIuZnJlZWJz ZC5vcmciIH0sDQorICAgICAgeyAiIFVTQSAjOCIsICAgICAgImZ0cDguZnJl ZWJzZC5vcmciLCBOVUxMLCBkbWVudVNldFZhcmlhYmxlLCBOVUxMLA0KKyAg ICAgICAgVkFSX0ZUUF9QQVRIICI9ZnRwOi8vZnRwOC5mcmVlYnNkLm9yZyIg fSwNCisgICAgICB7ICIgVVNBICM5IiwgICAgICAiZnRwOS5mcmVlYnNkLm9y ZyIsIE5VTEwsIGRtZW51U2V0VmFyaWFibGUsIE5VTEwsDQorICAgICAgICBW QVJfRlRQX1BBVEggIj1mdHA6Ly9mdHA5LmZyZWVic2Qub3JnIiB9LA0KKyAg ICAgIHsgIiBVU0EgIzEwIiwgICAgICAiZnRwMTAuZnJlZWJzZC5vcmciLCBO VUxMLCBkbWVudVNldFZhcmlhYmxlLCBOVUxMLA0KKyAgICAgICAgVkFSX0ZU UF9QQVRIICI9ZnRwOi8vZnRwMTAuZnJlZWJzZC5vcmciIH0sDQogICAgICAg eyBOVUxMIH0gfQ0KIH07DQogDQo= --0-2045892622-999608125=:11811-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hubs" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-hubs Tue Sep 4 6: 2:20 2001 Delivered-To: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org Received: from franklin.physics.purdue.edu (franklin.physics.purdue.edu [128.210.146.222]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B385137B40B; Tue, 4 Sep 2001 06:02:14 -0700 (PDT) Received: from physics.purdue.edu (curie.physics.purdue.edu [128.210.68.223]) by franklin.physics.purdue.edu (Postfix) with ESMTP id 30F2620F01; Tue, 4 Sep 2001 08:04:11 -0500 (EST) Received: by physics.purdue.edu (Postfix, from userid 12409) id 4466176; Tue, 4 Sep 2001 08:05:06 -0500 (EST) Date: Tue, 4 Sep 2001 08:05:06 -0500 From: Will Andrews To: Valentino Vaschetto Cc: hubs@freebsd.org, developers@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: sysinstall listed mirrors Message-ID: <20010904080506.C30764@curie.physics.purdue.edu> Reply-To: Will Andrews Mail-Followup-To: Valentino Vaschetto , hubs@freebsd.org, developers@FreeBSD.ORG References: <20010904054335.Q11811-200000@Blitzkrieg.Blackened.com> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.3.17i In-Reply-To: <20010904054335.Q11811-200000@Blitzkrieg.Blackened.com>; from logo@FreeBSD.org on Tue, Sep 04, 2001 at 05:55:25AM -0700 X-Operating-System: FreeBSD 4.3-STABLE i386 Sender: owner-freebsd-hubs@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org On Tue, Sep 04, 2001 at 05:55:25AM -0700, Valentino Vaschetto (logo@FreeBSD.org) wrote: > I've sent a patch to Murray about listing ftp mirrors 7, 8, 9 and 10 in > menus.c of sysinstall. But on the cvsup front, please feel free to try this: *default host=ftp-master.freebsd.org *default base=/home/cvsup # change this *default prefix=/archive/pub # change this *default delete use-rel-suffix *default compress FreeBSD-archive release=all preserve This will update /archive/pub/FreeBSD/* I finally wrote a script to generate the ACL's from a common file. ftpd, rsyncd and cvsupd now have the same access lists. BTW; I have created a simple "acl" collection so that people can see the access lists: $ rsync -q ftp-master.freebsd.org::acl/acl /tmp/acl $ cat /tmp/acl If people would take a look at this and let me know old/defunct stuff I'd appreciate it. There is some really ancient stuff here that is way out of date. And it seems timestamp of psqlj-7.0.3.diff.gz is funny. This file is required from version 7.0.3 of japanese/postgresql7. I think this file is already not necessary to be distributed from ftp-master. And, FreeBSD/releases/alpha/ISO-IMAGES/4.4rc2-install.iso seems incomplete transferred and obsoleted. -- Jun Kuriyama // IMG SRC, Inc. // FreeBSD Project To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hubs" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-hubs Sat Sep 8 21:49:56 2001 Delivered-To: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org Received: from yoco.com.ar (yoco.com.ar [200.42.126.20]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7DF3E37B40C for ; Sat, 8 Sep 2001 21:49:53 -0700 (PDT) Received: from yoco.com.ar (zuez@yoco.com.ar [200.42.126.20]) by yoco.com.ar (8.11.3/8.11.1) with ESMTP id f894oqv52391 for ; Sun, 9 Sep 2001 01:51:00 -0300 (ART) (envelope-from zuez@zuez.org) Date: Sun, 9 Sep 2001 01:50:52 -0300 (ART) From: Guido Fortunati X-X-Sender: To: Subject: y0 Message-ID: <20010909015038.N52387-100000@yoco.com.ar> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-hubs@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org i have the www mirror already up, sup now?
