I've read something in the SuSE-ISDN-List about the service of the "Deutsche Telekom" in germany. I didn't know the SMS-service of the Swisscom but Telekom uses the protocol from ETS Draft DES/AT-030009 v.1.0.0 for sending SMS to ISDN phones. If you are using FreeBSD 4.x, which still includes only version 0.92 or so, you need to download and install the i4b 0.95 or 0.96 upgrade from http://www.freebsd-support.de/i4b/, or use the co2stable kit to upgrade to the latest release (1.0) from FreeBSD-current. When you have done this, you need the following lines in your kernel config (these are documented in LINT, and in the i4b README files): device iwic0 pseudo-device "i4bq921" pseudo-device "i4bq931" pseudo-device "i4b" pseudo-device "i4btrc" pseudo-device "i4bctl" pseudo-device "i4brbch" 2 pseudo-device "i4btel" 2 The numbers 2 are the number of B channels to support; increase to support multiple adapters. Then configure isdnd (and possibly ppp) with your ISP's phone number, IP addresses, etc., and you are all set. - Juha Hristo Grigorov wrote: > > Hi! > > Anyone to have an idea how to get a Telewell ISDN card to work in FreeBSD ? > I went through this list archive, still unclear to me what option/device to > put in the > kernel config file to get it recognized. > > BR/Hristo. > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-isdn" in the body of the message -- Juha-Matti Liukkonen, Cubical Solutions Ltd Phone: +358(0)405280142 Email: jml@cubical.fi To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-isdn" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-isdn Wed Aug 8 9:18:52 2001 Delivered-To: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org Received: from fep02-app.kolumbus.fi (fep02-0.kolumbus.fi [193.229.0.44]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A3DA737B413 for ; Wed, 8 Aug 2001 09:18:42 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from Hristo.Grigorov@Kolumbus.FI) Received: from hristogr ([62.248.183.75]) by fep02-app.kolumbus.fi (InterMail vM.5.01.03.08 201-253-122-118-108-20010628) with SMTP id <20010808161841.CTGB26212.fep02-app.kolumbus.fi@hristogr>; Wed, 8 Aug 2001 19:18:41 +0300 Message-ID: <000701c12026$2ad2f900$4bb7f83e@hristogr> From: "Hristo Grigorov" To: "Juha-Matti Liukkonen" Cc: References: <002b01c11f60$a5301dc0$b0baf83e@hristogr> <3B70FBA6.DD812409@cubical.fi> Subject: Re: Telewell ISDN card & FreeBSD Date: Wed, 8 Aug 2001 19:21:23 +0300 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 5.50.4522.1200 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.50.4522.1200 Sender: owner-freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Hi! thank you for the reply!
