The online information at FreeBSD.org about this *seems* to be non-existent. Could someone please point me to information on how to do this? I have no problem building a custom kernel; I just need to know what to add (and where) for Token Ring support and for the drivers for Token Ring NICs. As far as I can tell, the IBM NIC is the only token-ring card that is still sold. The SMC card seems to have been a popular one (at least on our campus). I really like FreeBSD, but does this mean I need to go to some flavor of Linux for Token-Ring support (and if so, which flavor would you suggest)? I really hate the thought of setting up NT on those boxes (which, of course, has drivers). Thank again for your help, Doug -----Original Message----- From: Nikolai Saoukh [mailto:nms+tokenring@otdel-1.org] Sent: Saturday, December 22, 2001 2:26 PM To: Douglas Cohen Cc: freebsd-tokenring@freebsd.org Subject: Re: RFI - Setting up Token Ring Support in FreeBSD | Most of the NICs I'm working with are legacy SMC 4 mbps ISA bus cards.
