If you really did :w! then you did save the buffer. To quit without saving you'll have to use :q! instead. This will still attempt to refile the PR if you have previously written the buffer out though, as shown below: % edit-pr 19760 [ vi fires up ] [ change something ] :w [ change something else ] :q! The PR will still be refiled with the first changes that you saved! --cNdxnHkX5QqsyA0e Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQE9IbEG1g+UGjGGA7YRAgrSAJ4+TDNfCUKttaYyJ+o7Hrao4+rx9QCghH+9 QO2g4+ztMM38jCZZiZTJ/oo= =XYx1 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --cNdxnHkX5QqsyA0e-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugbusters" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-bugbusters Tue Jul 2 7: 5:28 2002 Delivered-To: freebsd-bugbusters@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.FreeBSD.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id DDF3637B400; Tue, 2 Jul 2002 07:05:24 -0700 (PDT) Received: from cavia.pp.ru (storm.demos.su [194.87.2.36]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D6D6B43E0A; Tue, 2 Jul 2002 07:05:23 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from mitya@cavia.pp.ru) Received: from cavia.pp.ru (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by cavia.pp.ru (8.12.2/8.12.2) with ESMTP id g62E5I6W007837; Tue, 2 Jul 2002 18:05:18 +0400 (MSD) (envelope-from mitya@cavia.pp.ru) Received: (from mitya@localhost) by cavia.pp.ru (8.12.2/8.12.2/Submit) id g62E5IVI007836; Tue, 2 Jul 2002 18:05:18 +0400 (MSD) Date: Tue, 2 Jul 2002 18:05:18 +0400 From: Dmitry Sivachenko To: Giorgos Keramidas Cc: freebsd-bugbusters@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: 2 questions Message-ID: <20020702140518.GP393@cavia.pp.ru> References: <20020702134801.GO393@cavia.pp.ru> <20020702135623.GA48079@hades.hell.gr> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="qlTNgmc+xy1dBmNv" Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <20020702135623.GA48079@hades.hell.gr> WWW-Home-Page: http://mitya.pp.ru/ X-PGP-Key: http://mitya.pp.ru/mitya.asc User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.1i Sender: owner-freebsd-bugbusters@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG --qlTNgmc+xy1dBmNv Content-Type: text/plain; charset=koi8-r Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On Tue, Jul 02, 2002 at 04:56:24PM +0300, Giorgos Keramidas wrote: > On 2002-07-02 17:48 +0000, Dmitry Sivachenko wrote: > > 2) When I changed the state of a PR open->feedback, vi was launched to = edit > > the change reason.
