Has anyone tried Eclipse or a similar IDE on a low-powered CPU? I discovered last time I tried Netbeans on my P2-266, it was pretty much unusable. I'd like an IDE with some project management features, especially layout design and some of the other useful tools, but I still like ant as a build tool, and I also don't have a lot of CPU power to spare. I've heard a lot of hype about Eclipse, and with 1.4 under FreeBSD, it might be time to look again. Any thoughts?
