The DE_de.* files must be copied to user/wordbook and an entry must be added. This must be done for every user, cause the setup program does not copy the files from /usr/local.... I assume that there is somewhere an install-script where you can add a line, so that those files get copied, too. Solution A) I create a sepate port which must be called by each user, adding the files. Solution B) install-user in german/openoffice is doing the copy in its makefile Solution C) Anyone is finding (havent searched now) a way to integrate the additional files in the setup-program which is called from openoffice makefile. I think the third solution is the best way to do it, especially for packages... So if you change it in /usr/local/OpenOffice.org.... the altered dictionary.lst file would be copied by "setup" but the copied de_DE.files not. So i assume there is a filelist for setup to copy. There is a Swiss version, too. There may be more dictionarys for other languages, but i cant read more ones.... take a look at: http://lang.openoffice.org Jan To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-openoffice" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-openoffice Tue Jul 9 9: 9:57 2002 Delivered-To: freebsd-openoffice@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.FreeBSD.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id F197337B400 for ; Tue, 9 Jul 2002 09:09:55 -0700 (PDT) Received: from mail.imp.ch (mail.imp.ch [157.161.1.2]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9755443E31 for ; Tue, 9 Jul 2002 09:09:54 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from mb@imp.ch) Received: from nbs.imp.ch (nbs.imp.ch [157.161.4.7]) by mail.imp.ch (8.11.6/8.11.6) with ESMTP id g69G9rj82213; Tue, 9 Jul 2002 18:09:53 +0200 (CEST) Received: from levais.imp.ch (levais.imp.ch [157.161.4.66]) by nbs.imp.ch (8.12.3/8.12.3) with ESMTP id g69G9r9014827329; Tue, 9 Jul 2002 18:09:53 +0200 (MES) Date: Tue, 9 Jul 2002 18:11:55 +0200 (CEST) From: Martin Blapp To: Oliver Lehmann Cc: , Subject: Re: OpenOffice German Dictionary In-Reply-To: <20020709175125.22c71286.lehmann@ans-netz.de> Message-ID: <20020709181033.T41780-100000@levais.imp.ch> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-openoffice@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hi, Can you send me the following stuff: - Which files have to be changed (I'll do this in the port itself) - Where the dicts can be downloaded. The file user/wordbook/dictionary.lst must be added: Add: DICT de DE de_DE and DICT de CH de_CH if they do not (they dont after a clean install) So now we have the problem that these files have to be copied to the users home dir. The user has to call "make install-user" or "/usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.0/program/setup" to make a user-install. This program copies the files to the /home//OpenOffice.org1.0/... but it has a list what files to copy. So we need to add the newly files... i GUESS this is solved by editing "/usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.0/program/instdb.ins" by adding a section File gid_File_Dic_De_De ... and File gid_File_Aff_De_De File gid_File_Dic_De_Ch ... and File gid_File_Aff_De_Ch and also altering the gid_Module_Root section. This port has beta quality and does not yet work as stable as it should. SYSTEM PATCHES: OO setup is broken on STABLE < 4.6 including 4.6 RELEASE. You'll need a system patch to solve this problem: http://people.freebsd.org/~mbr/patches/rtld-elf.diff OO.org build and also OO.org itself can deadlock. You can work around this problem with this patch: http://people.freebsd.org/~mbr/patches/rtld-elf-patch2.diff =3D=3D=3D> Extracting for openoffice-1.0.0 >> Checksum OK for OOo_1.0.0_source.tar.bz2. >> Checksum OK for gpc231.tar.Z. >> Checksum OK for oo_moz1.0RC3_includes.tgz. >> Checksum OK for oo_moz1.0RC3_i386_FreeBSD-4-gcc3.1-ports.tar.gz. =3D=3D=3D> openoffice-1.0.0 depends on executable: zip - found =3D=3D=3D> openoffice-1.0.0 depends on file: /usr/local/jdk1.3.1/bin/ja= va - found =3D=3D=3D> openoffice-1.0.0 depends on executable: imake - found =3D=3D=3D> openoffice-1.0.0 depends on executable: gmake - found =3D=3D=3D> openoffice-1.0.0 depends on executable: autoconf213 - found =3D=3D=3D> openoffice-1.0.0 depends on executable: bison - found =3D=3D=3D> openoffice-1.0.0 depends on shared library: X11.6 - found =3D=3D=3D> Patching for openoffice-1.0.0 =3D=3D=3D> Applying FreeBSD patches for openoffice-1.0.0 =3D=3D=3D> Find old malloc.h defines and fix them in openoffice-1.0.0 so= urce =3D=3D=3D> Configuring for openoffice-1.0.0 creating cache ./config.cache ******************************************************************** * * * OpenOffice build configuration. * * * * The configure proces checks your platform to see whether * * you can build OpenOffice on it. * * This proces checks all pre-requisites and generates a file * * containing the necessary environment variables. * * Source this file after configure has ended succesfully. * * * * Any warning that is generated during the configure process * * must be taken into account, since it can be a reason for * * an unsuccessfull build of OpenOffice. * * * ******************************************************************** ******************************************************************** * * * Checking the platform pre-requisites. * * * ******************************************************************** checking for awk... /usr/bin/awk checking for sed... /usr/bin/sed checking the operating system... checked (FreeBSD) checking for gcc... cc checking whether the C compiler (cc -O -pipe ) works... yes checking whether the C compiler (cc -O -pipe ) is a cross-compiler... no checking whether we are using GNU C... yes checking whether cc accepts -g... yes /usr/bin/cc checking how to run the C preprocessor... cc -E checking for ANSI C header files... yes checking pam_appl.h... yes checking for c++... c++ checking whether the C++ compiler (c++ -O -pipe ) works... yes checking whether the C++ compiler (c++ -O -pipe ) is a cross-compiler..= =2E no checking whether we are using GNU C++... yes checking whether c++ accepts -g... yes checking try to compile exception code... Then upgrade your sources to FreeBSD STABLE. Or try to "kill -27" the hanging prozess several times. This should help. PS: Write to openoffice@freebsd.org only next time. We have a special mailinglist for this port. After that it hangs; I can kill the process and I can also use CTRL-C to terminate the problem, so crash is maybe the wrong term. My systems are 4.6-release-p1. Trying out -stable would take some time (it's only Celeron 366). Do I have to recompile OO to get rid of the problem or is updating to -current do it? Meanwhile I have found out that Opening a Spreadsheet, then again a Text and then the Presentation also works. It only hangs when I try to open a presentation right after starting the program. > PS: Write to openoffice@freebsd.org only next time. We have a special > mailinglist for this port. Sorry, of couse.
