Well, I had planned to do all the -o related things, and probably stop at that Mike pointed out your message, and I looked at it, but I don't like the idea of conditionalising on an environment variable like you did, at least to that extent. The only stuff that should be conditional is stuff that conflicts. And even then, it is okay for us to evaluate options one-by-one and decide what stays and what goes.
