Sometime in the last few weeks, this broke, and today it returns an empty list. Some experimenting with the form shows that "gregory" works, and "bond" works (both with some expected false positive hits), but 2-word entries in the originator field no longer search right. Indeed, multiple entries in any of the fields no longer seems to work, but instead returns empty results. Information on enabling this is stored in www/en/relnotes/README. For some reason, the Web server hasn't updated these documents since sometime in June. I suspect that either the release documentation source files aren't being updated, or the BUILD_RELNOTES Makefile variable isn't being set when the Web site gets regenerated. Is there any chance of a Web admin type person looking into this? I'd really like to see this working again. If not, I'm going to push for nuking this "feature" of the Web site (with apologies to dd@, who did a good job of implementing this stuff IMHO)...the existing files are so out-of-date as to be essentially useless. Thanks, Bruce. PS. Apologies if I come off as a little agitated in the above mail. It took a long time to get the release documentation builds turned on, and even then, they would mysteriously stop updating every few months. If anybody knows why, they've never told me. --==_Exmh_-1708212057P Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (FreeBSD) Comment: Exmh version 2.5+ 20020506 iD8DBQE9ieaT2MoxcVugUsMRAtZ0AKDLbRpSmsiekDtCTAAmqY7mT3Fq2QCgwAlz wLGiWHb8uDzTyhZjkAviO94= =LnnM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --==_Exmh_-1708212057P-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-www" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-www Thu Sep 19 22:11:13 2002 Delivered-To: freebsd-www@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.FreeBSD.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0BBBC37B401; Thu, 19 Sep 2002 22:11:12 -0700 (PDT) Received: from white.imgsrc.co.jp (ns.imgsrc.co.jp [210.226.20.2]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1BEEF43E6E; Thu, 19 Sep 2002 22:11:11 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from kuriyama@imgsrc.co.jp) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by white.imgsrc.co.jp (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8BE8D24D41; Fri, 20 Sep 2002 14:11:08 +0900 (JST) Received: from black.imgsrc.co.jp (black.imgsrc.co.jp [2001:218:422:2::130]) by white.imgsrc.co.jp (Postfix) with ESMTP id DC88A24D38; Fri, 20 Sep 2002 14:11:04 +0900 (JST) Received: from black.imgsrc.co.jp (black.imgsrc.co.jp [2001:218:422:2::130]) by black.imgsrc.co.jp (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0F3D71E481A; Fri, 20 Sep 2002 14:11:03 +0900 (JST) Date: Fri, 20 Sep 2002 14:11:03 +0900 Message-ID: <7m8z1xi6u0.wl@black.imgsrc.co.jp> From: Jun Kuriyama To: bmah@FreeBSD.ORG Cc: freebsd-www@FreeBSD.ORG, freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: Release Documentation pages on Web site not being regenerated In-Reply-To: <200209191500.g8JF0Z2X032786@intruder.bmah.org> References: <200209191500.g8JF0Z2X032786@intruder.bmah.org> User-Agent: Wanderlust/2.9.10 (Unchained Melody) SEMI/1.14.4 (Hosorogi) FLIM/1.14.3 (=?ISO-8859-4?Q?Unebigory=F2mae?=) APEL/10.3 Emacs/21.2 (i386--freebsd) MULE/5.0 (SAKAKI) MIME-Version: 1.0 (generated by SEMI 1.14.4 - "Hosorogi") Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII X-Virus-Scanned: by AMaViS on ns.imgsrc.co.jp Sender: owner-freebsd-www@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org At Thu, 19 Sep 2002 08:00:35 -0700, Bruce A.
