YOU need to either back out the commit or add the needed bits. -- -- David (obrien@FreeBSD.org) From owner-freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.ORG Sun Aug 17 21:59:17 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-alpha@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CA40137B401; Sun, 17 Aug 2003 21:59:17 -0700 (PDT) Received: from cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org (cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org [192.58.184.37]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E420D43FAF; Sun, 17 Aug 2003 21:59:16 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from des+tinderbox@freebsd.org) Received: from cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) h7I4xF4r076923; Mon, 18 Aug 2003 00:59:15 -0400 (EDT) (envelope-from des+tinderbox@freebsd.org) Received: (from des@localhost) by cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org (8.12.9/8.12.9/Submit) id h7I4xFHF076922; Mon, 18 Aug 2003 00:59:15 -0400 (EDT) Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2003 00:59:15 -0400 (EDT) Message-Id: <200308180459.h7I4xFHF076922@cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org> X-Authentication-Warning: cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org: des set sender to Tinderbox using -f Sender: Tinderbox From: Tinderbox To: current@freebsd.org, alpha@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk Subject: [current tinderbox] failure on alpha/alpha X-BeenThere: freebsd-alpha@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the Alpha List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2003 04:59:18 -0000 TB --- 2003-08-18 04:00:11 - starting CURRENT tinderbox run for alpha/alpha TB --- 2003-08-18 04:00:11 - checking out the source tree TB --- cd /home/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha TB --- /usr/bin/cvs -f -R -q -d/home/ncvs update -Pd -A src TB --- 2003-08-18 04:02:59 - building world TB --- cd /home/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha/src TB --- /usr/bin/make -B buildworld >>> Rebuilding the temporary build tree >>> stage 1: legacy release compatibility shims >>> stage 1: bootstrap tools >>> stage 2: cleaning up the object tree >>> stage 2: rebuilding the object tree >>> stage 2: build tools >>> stage 3: cross tools >>> stage 4: populating /home/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha/obj/alpha/vol/vol0/users/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha/src/i386/usr/include >>> stage 4: building libraries >>> stage 4: make dependencies >>> stage 4: building everything.. FWIW, I'm seeing the same results with a Matrox Millennium II on a Compaq Alpha XPS1000 Workstation running -CURRENT (from about two weeks ago). The machine doesn't reboot however, but a local freeze is apparent. I can login remotely and kill the X process (which sits there and chews processor cycles) resulting in me then locally being dropped back to the console. -- /Nick From owner-freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.ORG Mon Aug 18 09:58:36 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-alpha@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D4D6137B401; Mon, 18 Aug 2003 09:58:36 -0700 (PDT) Received: from cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org (cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org [192.58.184.37]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id F3EFA44102; Mon, 18 Aug 2003 09:58:35 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from des+tinderbox@freebsd.org) Received: from cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) h7IGwZ4r056844; Mon, 18 Aug 2003 12:58:35 -0400 (EDT) (envelope-from des+tinderbox@freebsd.org) Received: (from des@localhost) by cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org (8.12.9/8.12.9/Submit) id h7IGwZl5056843; Mon, 18 Aug 2003 12:58:35 -0400 (EDT) Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2003 12:58:35 -0400 (EDT) Message-Id: <200308181658.h7IGwZl5056843@cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org> X-Authentication-Warning: cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org: des set sender to Tinderbox using -f Sender: Tinderbox From: Tinderbox To: current@freebsd.org, alpha@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk Subject: [current tinderbox] failure on alpha/alpha X-BeenThere: freebsd-alpha@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the Alpha List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2003 16:58:37 -0000 TB --- 2003-08-18 16:00:11 - starting CURRENT tinderbox run for alpha/alpha TB --- 2003-08-18 16:00:11 - checking out the source tree TB --- cd /home/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha TB --- /usr/bin/cvs -f -R -q -d/home/ncvs update -Pd -A src TB --- 2003-08-18 16:02:11 - building world TB --- cd /home/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha/src TB --- /usr/bin/make -B buildworld >>> Rebuilding the temporary build tree >>> stage 1: legacy release compatibility shims >>> stage 1: bootstrap tools >>> stage 2: cleaning up the object tree >>> stage 2: rebuilding the object tree >>> stage 2: build tools >>> stage 3: cross tools >>> stage 4: populating /home/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha/obj/alpha/vol/vol0/users/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha/src/i386/usr/include >>> stage 4: building libraries >>> stage 4: make dependencies >>> stage 4: building everything.. The machine was may office machine when I was doing my PhD thesis. I now work elsewhere and I unfortunately could not take with me that PWS 500a (even though I would have done it gladly). I have another Alpha machine but it is small (AXPpci33, 32MB ram) and is my primary DNS / mail server, so I cannot afford to convert it to 5.x while it is not perfectly stable, nor to take three days to compile a whole new 5.1 system and possibly witness it crash. --Thomas Pornin From owner-freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Aug 22 22:29:18 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-alpha@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8711516A4BF; Fri, 22 Aug 2003 22:29:18 -0700 (PDT) Received: from cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org (cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org [192.58.184.37]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CDA8943F75; Fri, 22 Aug 2003 22:29:17 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from des+tinderbox@freebsd.org) Received: from cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) h7N5TGnZ030699; Sat, 23 Aug 2003 01:29:17 -0400 (EDT) (envelope-from des+tinderbox@freebsd.org) Received: (from des@localhost) by cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org (8.12.9/8.12.9/Submit) id h7N5TGvi030698; Sat, 23 Aug 2003 01:29:16 -0400 (EDT) Date: Sat, 23 Aug 2003 01:29:16 -0400 (EDT) Message-Id: <200308230529.h7N5TGvi030698@cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org> X-Authentication-Warning: cueball.rtp.FreeBSD.org: des set sender to Tinderbox using -f Sender: Tinderbox From: Tinderbox To: current@freebsd.org, alpha@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk Subject: [current tinderbox] failure on alpha/alpha X-BeenThere: freebsd-alpha@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the Alpha List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 23 Aug 2003 05:29:19 -0000 TB --- 2003-08-23 04:00:01 - starting CURRENT tinderbox run for alpha/alpha TB --- 2003-08-23 04:00:01 - checking out the source tree TB --- cd /home/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha TB --- /usr/bin/cvs -f -R -q -d/home/ncvs update -Pd -A src TB --- 2003-08-23 04:09:14 - building world TB --- cd /home/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha/src TB --- /usr/bin/make -B buildworld >>> Rebuilding the temporary build tree >>> stage 1: legacy release compatibility shims >>> stage 1: bootstrap tools >>> stage 2: cleaning up the object tree >>> stage 2: rebuilding the object tree >>> stage 2: build tools >>> stage 3: cross tools >>> stage 4: populating /home/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha/obj/alpha/vol/vol0/users/des/tinderbox/CURRENT/alpha/alpha/src/i386/usr/include >>> stage 4: building libraries >>> stage 4: make dependencies >>> stage 4: building everything..
