Currently you will need a ForeRunnerHE (hatm(4)) adapter to use it (because only that adapter supports raw cell input/output) and a switch (because you must split the VC). They can be used to excercise different traffic classes (UBR/CBR/VBR/ABR) with different traffic characteristics and to measure delay, bandwidth and loss. (For delay measurements the machines must be synchronized via NTP).
