Red Hat 9 comes with Perl 5.8.0 which has stricter taint-checking rules than older Perl versions. As an intermediate workaround before CVSweb 3.0 is released (soonish!), try removing the "T" from the first line of cvsweb.cgi, ie change it from: #!/usr/bin/perl -wT ...to #!/usr/bin/perl -w From owner-freebsd-cvsweb@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Oct 1 21:33:01 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-cvsweb@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E450916A4B3 for ; Wed, 1 Oct 2003 21:33:01 -0700 (PDT) Received: from singasari.1rstwap.com (Singasari.1rstWAP.com [202.155.119.134]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with SMTP id E9B6943FCB for ; Wed, 1 Oct 2003 21:32:59 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from hendra@1rstwap.com) Received: (qmail 15970 invoked by uid 504); 2 Oct 2003 04:32:59 -0000 Received: from hendra@1rstwap.com by Singasari by uid 501 with qmail-scanner-1.16 (1rstScanner Clear:. Yep, it's a bug, CVSweb doesn't allow /'s in tag names (or actually, revisions). Will take a look soon. Workaround: use the numeric revision (1.12.2 in the above case) in the text field.
