The port installed fine, and everything seems to be working, except that the license file isn't accepted. I've used one from VMware 3.0 from a RedHat machine, and placed it in the right directory (~/.vmware/license.ws.3.0) but it still says that it can't find one... If I modify the file and remove the hash, for example, it complains that the hash is missing, so it seems to be reading it. The license file works in the RedHat machine. Has anyone else had any trouble with this? Thanks for any help! _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail From owner-freebsd-emulation@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Aug 14 02:47:21 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 60C4437B408 for ; Thu, 14 Aug 2003 02:47:21 -0700 (PDT) Received: from tn.nic.in (tn.nic.in [164.100.167.2]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with SMTP id C974943FA3 for ; Thu, 14 Aug 2003 02:47:18 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from sxg@tn.nic.in) Received: from wwws (wwws [164.100.167.49]) by tn.nic.in (8.9.1/8.9.1) with SMTP id PAA26823 for ; Thu, 14 Aug 2003 15:11:26 +0530 (IST) Message-ID: <005301c36248$ad2ef910$31a764a4@tn.nic.in> From: "S.Gopinath" To: Date: Thu, 14 Aug 2003 15:14:32 +0530 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1158 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2800.1165 Subject: X-BeenThere: freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Development of Emulators of other operating systems List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 14 Aug 2003 09:47:21 -0000 Dear Sir, > > I'm required to run a.out binaries like foxplus > in a recent Intel based hardware. BTW, I saw this on the OpenBSD source-changes list recently and remembered the missing system call thread here: CVSROOT: /cvs Module name: src Changes by: fgsch@cvs.openbsd.org 2003/08/14 12:34:15 Modified files: sys/compat/linux: syscalls.master Log message: add more syscalls. implement exit_group (which is actually an alias for sys_exit), needed for newer glibc's binaries. from marius aamodt eriksen Assuming that this is the right approach to solving the problem, we could probably pull that change into our linux emulator. Install the a.out binary compatibility. To do this, run /stand/sysinstall, and go to Configure -> Distributions. There you'll see it. Daniela
