I keep forgetting :( ftp.nl.freebsd.org - has eveything (including ISOs) - 1GB internet connection, also IPv6 - ftp/http/rsync The FTP mirrors list does not mention rsync. The rsync list mentions collection 'vol/3/freebsd-core', this has been changed to 'FreeBSD' (and it will remain that way). I added the rsync now. Hiroki added support for mentioning IPv6 for us a while ago and last night was the first time I got a chance to experiment with it using one site as a guinea-pig. It worked well so I'm going to do a DNS scan checking for an IPv6 address of each site we currently list and I'll add those in some time soon. I also haven't had a chance to restructure the rsync section of the Handbook but I'll try to get that done soon too. We'll stop mentioning individual sites and what they call their modules there, I'll replace it with a very short tutorial on how to use rsync to probe a site to see what modules they offer. That combined with the rsync tags for each of the sites in the FTP section seems more useful. -- Ken Smith - From there to here, from here to | kensmith@cse.buffalo.edu there, funny things are everywhere. | - Theodore Geisel |
