Did you enable ipfw on layer2 ? # sysctl net.link.ether.ipfw=1 And somethink else: with these rules you will have problems when server or client tries to find mac address of peer with arp request. I'll suggest you these rules: allow all from any to any mac any ${lanmac} layer2 out xmit rl0 allow all from any to any mac any ${oddmac} layer2 in recv rl0 deny all from any to any layer2 via rl0 Note that these rules are for your server, for client you must swap "out xmit" and "in recv". > >Best regards Martin > > > > >-- >Martin Larsson > > >To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org >with "unsubscribe freebsd-ipfw" in the body of the message -- Regards, Dancho Penev To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ipfw" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-ipfw Sat Feb 8 4:50:16 2003 Delivered-To: freebsd-ipfw@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E2F3E37B401 for ; Sat, 8 Feb 2003 04:50:14 -0800 (PST) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [216.136.204.21]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 92A7643F85 for ; Sat, 8 Feb 2003 04:50:14 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (gnats@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.12.6/8.12.6) with ESMTP id h18CoDNS008604 for ; Sat, 8 Feb 2003 04:50:13 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from gnats@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.12.6/8.12.6/Submit) id h18CoDT7008603; Sat, 8 Feb 2003 04:50:13 -0800 (PST) Date: Sat, 8 Feb 2003 04:50:13 -0800 (PST) Message-Id: <200302081250.h18CoDT7008603@freefall.freebsd.org> To: ipfw@FreeBSD.org Cc: From: "Simon L.
