So I google google and google again but I cant get more... I saw a lot of people having bad speed with this driver but those posts were made years ago... I compile my kernel with the following : device sym device scbus device da Should I add any option to this? or is my HD bad(I bought it very cheap :D)? If anybody can help thanks again, have fun! In any case, I have not finished handling code for bus resets in the target code so you should disable target mode, reset the bus, and then re-enable it. -Nate From owner-freebsd-scsi@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Apr 17 09:34:35 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-scsi@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id EB36937B401 for ; Thu, 17 Apr 2003 09:34:35 -0700 (PDT) Received: from transport.cksoft.de (transport.cksoft.de [62.111.66.27]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4E86743F3F for ; Thu, 17 Apr 2003 09:34:35 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from bzeeb-lists@zabbadoz.net) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by transport.cksoft.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id A141B1FFBBD for ; Thu, 17 Apr 2003 18:34:34 +0200 (CEST) Received: by transport.cksoft.de (Postfix, from userid 66) id BF3E61FFBC1; Thu, 17 Apr 2003 18:34:33 +0200 (CEST) Received: by mail.int.zabbadoz.net (Postfix, from userid 1060) id C3B5A1537B; Thu, 17 Apr 2003 16:34:14 +0000 (UTC) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by mail.int.zabbadoz.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id B04C31529B for ; Thu, 17 Apr 2003 16:34:14 +0000 (UTC) Date: Thu, 17 Apr 2003 16:34:14 +0000 (UTC) From: "Bjoern A. This is an older ISA PNP SCSI card p.ex. shipped with HP Scanners. Back in November I had at look at the linux driver for this card and had already started to do some updating but I then almost entirly dropped any linux here and never finished. At that time LSI Logic Technical Support told me that the chip is obsolete and there are no manuals available :( If I would start hacking the driver where could I start to get an overview of FreeBSD SCSI implementation (and API) ? ahc sources ? Is there any isa pnp scsi card driver ? -- Greetings Bjoern A.
