Maybe a README.TXT.JP, etc.? I'm kensmith> not sure how best to organize it, having too many translations would kensmith> clutter up the top-level FTP directory quite a bit. How about moving the several sections to articles/hubs and generating README.TXT from it? It is relatively easy to extract portions of the sections from articles/hub, and the information provided in README.TXT does not overlap if we do so. And putting the generated README.TXT into projects/ftp if an additional management is needed. While I am not sure if the translations are needed, they can be referred as an article without putting files like README.TXT.JP. This an idea, though. -- | Hiroki SATO ----Security_Multipart(Thu_Jan__1_17_36_12_2004_378)-- Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQA/89v9TyzT2CeTzy0RAojnAJ0cLs12IR/mMQ7amtviqpChB+Y4QQCg3xc8 UMEmubfUyc2cpgnFlz1FvSk= =qQmd -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ----Security_Multipart(Thu_Jan__1_17_36_12_2004_378)---- From owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Jan 1 01:12:08 2004 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id BEBD216A4CE for ; Thu, 1 Jan 2004 01:12:08 -0800 (PST) Received: from kucrelay1.kennecott.com (mail.kennecott.com [148.175.49.253]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 13BCC43D49 for ; Thu, 1 Jan 2004 01:12:07 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from pahla@kennecott.com) Received: from rtsiexch.kennecott.riotinto.org [148.175.33.50] by kucrelay1.kennecott.com [148.175.62.12] (CMSPraetor 5.10.4411) with ESMTP id C238A5AB51A9424D8008B219506B219C for ; Thu, 01 Jan 2004 02:11:59 -0700 Received: from rtsiexch00.kennecott.riotinto.org ([148.175.33.10]) by rtsiexch.kennecott.riotinto.org with Microsoft SMTPSVC(5.0.2195.6713); Thu, 1 Jan 2004 02:11:58 -0700 content-class: urn:content-classes:message MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft Exchange V6.0.6487.1 Date: Thu, 1 Jan 2004 02:11:58 -0700 Message-ID: <73C010828D0D4D45A0C890C58917FC60161F3D@rtsiexch00.kennecott.riotinto.org> X-MS-Has-Attach: X-MS-TNEF-Correlator: Thread-Topic: download free star office Thread-Index: AcPQR074HUZBwmj0RWeaDc/LVDNdlg== From: "Pahl, Allen (KUCC)" To: X-OriginalArrivalTime: 01 Jan 2004 09:11:58.0930 (UTC) FILETIME=[4F5DAB20:01C3D047] Subject: download free star office X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 01 Jan 2004 09:12:08 -0000 From owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Jan 1 03:10:31 2004 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 5AF9816A4CE for ; Thu, 1 Jan 2004 03:10:31 -0800 (PST) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [216.136.204.21]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E0E0B43D5E for ; Thu, 1 Jan 2004 03:10:27 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (gnats@localhost [127.0.0.1]) i01BARFR081827 for ; Thu, 1 Jan 2004 03:10:27 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from gnats@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.12.10/8.12.10/Submit) id i01BARfu081825; Thu, 1 Jan 2004 03:10:27 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from gnats) Date: Thu, 1 Jan 2004 03:10:27 -0800 (PST) Message-Id: <200401011110.i01BARfu081825@freefall.freebsd.org> To: freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org From: Giorgos Keramidas Subject: Re: docs/59991: diff manpage lacks a return value section X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list Reply-To: Giorgos Keramidas List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 01 Jan 2004 11:10:31 -0000 The following reply was made to PR docs/59991; it has been noted by GNATS. These files should be identical, probably, to the same files of the handbook: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/imagelib/callouts/ Is it the www.freebsd.org local only problem? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? It seems to me the documentation is incomplete and I'm just writing to verify this. My reasons for believing the documentation is incomplete are: 1) "This article presents a number of scenarios, and strategies for implementing a VPN for each scenario." I only see one scenario for implementing a VPN. 2) "3. Configure additional software on the FreeBSD gateways, to allow Windows machines to see one another across the VPN." I see the first two "stages" of implementing the first scenario but not the third. I came to the handbook, which has been incredibly helpful in many other instances, to try to find out how to create an IPsec VPN between an end user's machine, running either Windows 2000/XP or FreeBSD, and a remote network, as would be done in a traveling user, remote access from home, or wireless security scenario. I'm sure many others have set this up but the first place I go to for FreeBSD documentation is the handbook. Any help with my question and any information about possibly completing the handbook would be greatly appreciated.
