I'm just going to keep replying to my own posts.. in the hope that I'll finally say something that someone will understand how to fix. I finally have everything working -- the atheros card and bfe card can be used simultaneously -- as long as acpi is off. When acpi is on, no dice. So, does anyone know why that would be happening? A lot of the other stuff I use uses acpi, so i kind of need to use it.. Thanks for any help. I've left dmesg below.
