I'm in Canada, connecting to a switch that speaks NI-1. I assume I'm out of luck with regard to using the (passive) AVM Fritz!Card PCI that I acquired dirt cheap ... but I also have a Lucent SuperPipe that has a "LocalBRI" port on the back. The SuperPipe can apparently behave either like an NI-1 or an AT&T switch when talking on the LocalBRI port, and the reference manual seems to indicate that the "LocalBRI" interface is an S/T interface, but the question is ... is there any way to make it talk to the AVM Fritz!Card? Any thoughts? Am I still completely out of luck? Thanks. :) -- Paul Chvostek Operations / Abuse / Whatever it.canada, hosting and development http://www.it.ca/ From owner-freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Aug 10 09:08:07 2004 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 73AA916A4CE for ; Tue, 10 Aug 2004 09:08:07 +0000 (GMT) Received: from marvin.muc.de (marvin.muc.de [193.149.48.2]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with SMTP id 9D01C43D2D for ; Tue, 10 Aug 2004 09:08:05 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from mod-submit@uni-berlin.de) Received: (qmail 18598 invoked by alias); 10 Aug 2004 09:08:04 -0000 Delivered-To: mods-muc-lists-freebsd-isdn@moderators.muc.de Received: (qmail 18591 invoked from network); 10 Aug 2004 09:08:04 -0000 Received: from mail.fu-berlin.de (130.133.1.2) by marvin.muc.de with SMTP; 10 Aug 2004 09:08:04 -0000 Received: by Mail.FU-Berlin.DE (Exim 4.41) from curry.zedat.fu-berlin.de ([160.45.10.36]) for muc-lists-freebsd-isdn@moderators.muc.de with esmtp id <1BuSbz-0007vX-VZ>; Tue, 10 Aug 2004 11:08:04 +0200 Received: by Curry.ZEDAT.FU-Berlin.DE (Smail3.2.0.98) from news.uni-berlin.de with bsmtp id ; Tue, 10 Aug 2004 11:08:03 +0200 (MEST) To: muc-lists-freebsd-isdn@moderators.muc.de Path: not-for-mail From: "Uwe Disch" Newsgroups: muc.lists.freebsd.isdn Date: Tue, 10 Aug 2004 10:38:05 +0200 Lines: 15 Message-ID: References: <20040810061719.GA85368@it.ca> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Orig-X-Trace: news.uni-berlin.de 7S7m8cL9YKdB/kod2Yxb+gYVyu1UatEEN+Aq6ii7B0p1rsfhOf X-Orig-Path: chanan.disch-systems.priv!news X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 5.50.4922.1500 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.50.4939.300 X-Mailman-Approved-At: Tue, 10 Aug 2004 11:42:54 +0000 Subject: Re: AVM Fritz!Card PCI behind a Lucent SuperPipe? Am I still completely out of luck? I guess you're completely out of luck because the FRITZ! PCI must be connected to a NT and only talks DSS1 (Euro-ISDN) - as far as I know it is a product for the Euro-Asia market. Does someone know a solution for this? E.g. something that can stop the playing message (delete the buffer)? I have started to write a little program to (i dont know the english word) check the messages on my machine. Many Thanks, Johannes
