Also, would I have better luck with yes, many people have done it. it should be pretty straight forward with any bluetooth capable phone. > certain phones/providers? I'd like to go with T-Mobile in which case the just make sure the phone supports Dial-Up Networking (DUN) profile. although, i will be surprised if you find a bluetooth capable phone that does not support DUN :) as far as provider goes, you need to make sure your provider of choice has good gprs coverage in the desired areas. if you do not have gprs coverage (but have gsm coverage), you sill might be able to make CSD (Circuit Switched Call - voice), but it will be very slow 9600 baud. > only phone i really like is the razor. I heard you need some software in > windows called "motorolla tools" to use the cellphone for internet > access... on windows may be. you should not really need anything that is not included into default freebsd 5.3+ installation. thanks, max From owner-freebsd-bluetooth@FreeBSD.ORG Tue May 10 13:28:39 2005 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-bluetooth@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6E75516A4D0; Tue, 10 May 2005 13:28:39 +0000 (GMT) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [216.136.204.21]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4114743D91; Tue, 10 May 2005 13:28:39 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from arved@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (arved@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.3/8.13.3) with ESMTP id j4ADSd75051893; Tue, 10 May 2005 13:28:39 GMT (envelope-from arved@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from arved@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.3/8.13.1/Submit) id j4ADSdXT051889; Tue, 10 May 2005 13:28:39 GMT (envelope-from arved) Date: Tue, 10 May 2005 13:28:39 GMT From: Tilman Linneweh Message-Id: <200505101328.j4ADSdXT051889@freefall.freebsd.org> To: arved@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-bluetooth@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: kern/76205: [patch] support for AVM BlueFritz!
