I don't see anything on the FreeBSD.org site. In case its not there, I would like to start one. There i= s an Open Source Event FOSS.in/2005 going on at Bangalore/India. I want to distribute copies of FreeBSD-6.0 Copies as a first step for FreeBSD - India user group. I would like to see FreeBSD to be more popular and used everywhere. I would like to get some feedback/suggestions from you on my thoughts. -- Regards, Vijay Kiran, www.vijaykiran.com From owner-freebsd-chat@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Nov 16 23:36:26 2005 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-chat@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-chat@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1226D16A420 for ; Wed, 16 Nov 2005 23:36:26 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from josh@tcbug.org) Received: from sccrmhc14.comcast.net (sccrmhc14.comcast.net [204.127.202.59]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0DDA743D60 for ; Wed, 16 Nov 2005 23:36:24 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from josh@tcbug.org) Received: from [192.168.1.101] (c-24-118-173-219.hsd1.mn.comcast.net[24.118.173.219]) by comcast.net (sccrmhc14) with ESMTP id <2005111623360301400lmirme>; Wed, 16 Nov 2005 23:36:23 +0000 From: Josh Paetzel To: freebsd-chat@freebsd.org Date: Wed, 16 Nov 2005 17:36:02 -0600 User-Agent: KMail/1.8.3 References: <1674d2d00511160137ud168b47s4ee65db7cf1dc580@mail.gmail.com> In-Reply-To: <1674d2d00511160137ud168b47s4ee65db7cf1dc580@mail.gmail.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline Message-Id: <200511161736.02619.josh@tcbug.org> Cc: Vijay Kiran Duvvuri Subject: Re: FreeBSD User Group - India X-BeenThere: freebsd-chat@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Non technical items related to the community List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 16 Nov 2005 23:36:26 -0000 On Wednesday 16 November 2005 03:37 am, Vijay Kiran Duvvuri wrote: > Hi, > > Is there any usergroup for FreeBSD in india? Once you get going I can help you get your group listed on freebsd.org. I also have had luck getting free or low-cost CDs of Free and Net BSD from some of the vendors out there. For other ramblings and discussions you can contact me off list or in #tcbug on freenode (appa_x) Our website is http://www.tcbug.org which also has contact info on it.
