Overall I've used Safari, Konqueror and Operafor the job, so all of these should work. Yes it is, I used similar words in the releng article. Commercial productization is a common phrase when referring to extending open source (particularly BSD licensed code) for commercial products. productization was the intended word and 'production' is not a good replacement word in this context. - Murray From owner-freebsd-www@FreeBSD.ORG Sun Jan 30 21:37:27 2005 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-www@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 76A6616A4CE for ; Sun, 30 Jan 2005 21:37:27 +0000 (GMT) Received: from fed1rmmtao03.cox.net (fed1rmmtao03.cox.net [68.230.241.36]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 29EBE43D1D for ; Sun, 30 Jan 2005 21:37:27 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from jcamou@opensea.malexa.org.mx) Received: from opensea.cox.net ([68.0.141.123]) by fed1rmmtao03.cox.net (InterMail vM.6.01.04.00 201-2131-117-20041022) with ESMTP id <20050130213726.TRIW26150.fed1rmmtao03.cox.net@opensea.cox.net>; Sun, 30 Jan 2005 16:37:26 -0500 Received: from opensea.cox.net (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by opensea.cox.net (8.13.1/8.13.1) with ESMTP id j0ULdWZm000649; Sun, 30 Jan 2005 14:39:33 -0700 (MST) (envelope-from jcamou@opensea.malexa.org.mx) Received: (from jcamou@localhost) by opensea.cox.net (8.13.1/8.12.11/Submit) id j0ULdQUL000648; Sun, 30 Jan 2005 14:39:26 -0700 (MST) (envelope-from jcamou) Date: Sun, 30 Jan 2005 14:39:26 -0700 From: "Jesus R. Seems to me like `productization' is a made up word used more than nothing in tech. I requested this change 'cause it looked wrong to me and thought the person who wrote this paragraph had mistaken it. It didn't make sense to me at the moment of reading it, now it kind of does. "The modern design of the JUNOS operating system has allowed Juniper the flexibility to employ RTCore(R) BSD as a component of JUNOS, enhancing the real-time features of the J-series routers. We are pleased to be working with FSMLabs using its best-in-class solution to decrease the J- series time-to-market," commented David Tucker, J-series product marketing manager, Juniper Networks. FSMLabs RTCore(R) technology is deployed in demanding embedded environments, where real-time software must run at the performance levels of the underlying hardware. RTCore(R) BSD uses the same POSIX real-time core as FSMLabs RTLinux(R) but within FreeBSD or NetBSD environments. "RTCore BSD helped Juniper meet product performance goals and get to market quickly and cost-effectively," added Victor Yodaiken, president of FSMLabs. "Our real-time technology lets equipment manufacturers deliver devices that operate at near-line speeds for distinct competitive advantages within either Linux or BSD environments." Leading OEMs today build on FSMLabs RTCore(R) to develop and deploy applications that include routers, satellite control, telescopes, jet engine test stands, and high performance graphical displays. FSMLabs lets OEMs focus on value-added development activities instead of spending weeks or months configuring and tuning embedded operating system performance. By leveraging off-the-shelf RTCore(R), developers can deliver working products, more quickly, with the reliability and responsiveness needed in mission-critical applications. About Juniper Networks, Inc. Juniper Networks is the leader in enabling secure and assured communications over a single IP network. The company's purpose-built, high performance IP platforms enable customers to support many different services and applications at scale. Service providers, enterprises, governments and research and education institutions worldwide rely on Juniper Networks to deliver products for building networks that are tailored to the specific needs of their users, services and applications. Juniper Networks' portfolio of proven networking and security solutions supports the complex scale, security and performance requirements of the world's most demanding networks. Additional information can be found at www.juniper.net. About FSMLabs FSMLabs provides hard real-time solutions designed for reliability and simplicity of operation that target mission-critical applications. FSMLabs was founded in 1998 and is a privately held, revenue financed, core system software developer with headquarters in New Mexico and sales and engineering staff worldwide. Sorry; my window for that passed (I only had a terminal connection available at the time), but I do intend to commit it. Submit the other article as a new PR, and let me know - if there is merging to be done then I'll do it. Waiting for it would probably be a bad idea. I'll send the pr as soon as I have it. Thanks! -- Jesus R. 'www' is used for the FreeBSD website. Also, please help us out by only setting 'critical' for potentially serious problems such as security-related problems, thanks. In general broken ports are assigned to 'serious'. Remember that FreeBSD is a volunteer project and as such these tags are strictly advisory in any case. It will help bring some order to the chaos.
