I ordered "Teach yourself Free BSD" as a book and "20 Years of Berkeley Unix" on DVD. I paid for 2nd day air mail, and received the book on time, however, my DVD, no. I emailed and emailed just as you did with NO responce. Then the survey came asking to rate them as a business. I ripped them so bad an NT server would look good. A week later I get a phone call and do to a "problem" they couldn't get back to me for almost 2 weeks. They finally sent my DVD and a BSD sticker. I open the DVD and see it's a burned copy of it..... Pop it in my laptop and watch it. It even told me what burner software they used to create the DVD. And of course, it doesn't work in my DVD player, just the computer. I was expecting at least a REAL DVD and not a copied burned one. > 3 monthes and they don't even have in 2 monthes answered any emails > asking for explanations. Never order form there again. I'm not. These are trusted sources in my book: http://store.slackware.com http://www.freebsdmall.com Both of these are trusted by me. The Slackware store is always on time even though I know from talking to Pat ONE person does the whole thing for shipping, and I pay for NEXT DAY and get it on time. Free BSD mall has NEVER given me one problem so I buy a lot from there. I highly recommend the sticker case plates by the way they are cute as is the Tee ... And I ordered 6.0 on CD too and 300 dollars worth of books. > I strongly suggest people to avoid ordering from them. Don't ever buy from there, it was horrible. -Allen > -- > unzip ; strip ; touch ; grep ; find ; finger ; mount ; fsck ; more ; yes ; > fsck ; umount ; sleep > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-advocacy > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-advocacy-unsubscribe@freebsd.org"
