greetings all with regards to my previous question regardsing the newly aquired Digital Server 2100A (Model 500MP) --- the machine starts up and drops into srm mode cleanly and responds srm questions cleanly and promptly. as per teh subject line, does anyone know if it is (still) possible to get/order a digital unix/compaq tru64 unix licence and or medai pac from i presume compaq as being the final resting place of things Digital, Inc ??? my 2100A has 2 ??? mhz cpus and some 256 mbyte dram with somee holes in teh motherboard/buss subsystems are to hols two more cpu's and more memory simms i'd guess given teh age of this beastie. it also has a lot of esia slots, <sad grin> is it still possible to find somewhere perhaps someone who has systems diskette that is required to configure the eisa buss (the utility is called Eisa Configuration Utility, ECU) these are to be found on the System Configuration Diskette (SCD) which is suplied with teh system ... anyone got one or more laying around that they nologner require, surplus to requirements, perhaps make a copy or two of off, perhaps, maybe .. hopefully this alpha 2100a will beable to circumvent teh multiple cpu, ntpd clock (double speed from what ive gathered from the google research/private reading on the topic. with much appreciations thanks and gratitude. warm regards jonathan -- ================================================================ powered by ..
