Good day!

I have been perusing open PR's on Citrix, and = found this=20 one. I had the exact same problem back 6.0.

I isolated it to one of three events, = openssl-stable,=20 the version of KDE at the time, or FreeBSD itself!

Anyway to cut to the chase, after I upgraded = to FreeBSD=20 6.1, the problem was solved.

Not a great help, but it worked for = me!

I am the new port maintainer for net/citrix_ica, and you will have to forgive me, I am still feeling my way around the concept of maintainership. i386/91331 is a duplicate of one listed at http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/94314. I am not entirely sure of the in's and out's of the GNATS reporting system, could you declare i386/91331 a duplicate and aim it at ports/94314? I think it is better served being dealt with in the ports section. It not, simply close it, I feel I have documented enough of an audit trail to lead to a fix. Thanks in advance. Kernel: SMP with IPFIREWALL option Problem: we have SuperMicro 6014P-TR server with Intel PRO/1000 MT Dual (82546GB) adapter on-board and Intel PRO/1000 MT Dual (82546EB)on PCI-X slot. On-board card has 2 simulatenoius links to different gigabit switches. Everything is ok, hosts are pinging. Ports are operates on 1000 Mbit\s FullDuplex (Autonegotiation) Lets connect PCI-X card to 3'rd gigabit switch, it's working, hosts pinging. When I'm trying connect second port on PCI-X card to 4'th switch, link on first port is became down, after that on both ports link is up at 100 Mbit\s, but nothing works. Trying to type smth like "ifconfig em0 up" follows by "EPPROM Checksum error. Cannot initialize hardware." All switches configured staticaly at 1000 Mbit\s with Full-Duplex. All ports on both cards (on-board and PCI-X) configured by AUTO When I'm configuring PCI-X ports with "media 1000BaseTX mediaopt full-duplex", it's doesnt make any difference. After rebooting, if cables are in PCI-X ports, problem is present. After rebooting with only one cable connected to any of two ports, problem is'nt appears >How-To-Repeat: Connecting cable to second port on PCI-X card with 1'st port connected. >Fix: No one, just reboot machine with one of 2 link connected. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: From owner-freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Jun 2 22:50:32 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-i386@hub.freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-i386@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C9AFB16A46C for ; Fri, 2 Jun 2006 22:50:20 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [216.136.204.21]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 5C15343D53 for ; Fri, 2 Jun 2006 22:50:20 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (gnats@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4) with ESMTP id k52MoK7B070803 for ; Fri, 2 Jun 2006 22:50:20 GMT (envelope-from gnats@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4/Submit) id k52MoKCL070802; Fri, 2 Jun 2006 22:50:20 GMT (envelope-from gnats) Date: Fri, 2 Jun 2006 22:50:20 GMT Message-Id: <200606022250.k52MoKCL070802@freefall.freebsd.org> To: freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.org From: "Thomas Abthorpe" Cc: Subject: Re: i386/91331: system hangs after citrix_ica_client(wfcmgr) starting X-BeenThere: freebsd-i386@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list Reply-To: Thomas Abthorpe List-Id: I386-specific issues for FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 02 Jun 2006 22:51:12 -0000 The following reply was made to PR i386/91331; it has been noted by GNATS.
